By all means, come down to the brewery, but we will be sending this to the Philadelphia area as well!

Fantastic, I'll be in the area on Sunday. Hopefully it's available then.

I had a teaser can of corrosion last weekend. I was hoping for a bit more. Still, I buy some and try it again.

In what way(s) were you “hoping for a bit more”? Just looking to get some more feedback, not arguing or anything.

I think I was looking for more body and substance. I thought it was way thin and not all that complex.

Ok. Thanks! This was the first time we brewed this beer on this kind of a scale, and I’d be lying if I said I was 100% happy with it. Trying to figure out how we can do it better next time.

What was the ABV? It seemed to drink really light.....that's my point, maybe too light? I expected a full blown IPA (Cape May IPA) with some nice malt and heft with the sourness. I think it tasted more like a session IPA with little to no malt with the tartness or even a berliner-weiss like. I don't think you were going for a summer easy drinking beach beer since it's released in the spring, but maybe I'm off base and you were going that route?

But again, let me try another 4 pack and see. I LOVE the idea of a sour IPA, really love ones that use brett normally.

Thanks for listening, it's really refreshing to bounce feedback off of someone.

PS: Just picked up a six pack of Always Ready and thought that was fantastic. Now I know that is a session IPA style, and for the style it was terrific. My six pack is gone already......guess it was truly always ready.

Keith, my can says "Pale Ale" on it. FWIW this beer drinks like a Pale Ale for me; it was not very thin/watery like the Session IPAs that I have tasted.

    Cheers!

All the cans that have made their way to Central Jersey have been great. Always Ready was fantastic and my favorite. Snag and Drop was very good too. Keep it up!

Cape May has been on a roll lately and put out some really good beers but I am sorry to say this is not one of them.

Jack, all promo etc. I’ve seen has said IPA. See the can pic above, they list it as an IPA.

My can of Always Ready lists Pale Ale.

    Cheers!

Glad you dig Always Ready! That’s been a go-to of mine since we released it.
The ABV of Corrosion is 6.5%. The malt bill for this has a little more than half as much wheat as the average Berlinerweisse would, about 25% pale wheat, but otherwise it’s similar and the souring method is the same, so you’re right that the tartness and malt flavors are similar there.
I think it would be fun to brew up a sour IPA that had a similar malt bill to CMIPA, with the addition of the cars malts and maybe a bit more body on the finish, but the lightness of this one was intentional. I think we might play around with that, something for our RAD series.
Thanks, man! I always love digging into the nuts & bolts of what people think of our beers and this is always a good forum for that.
And thank you for the feedback!
    CHEERS!

Hard to put my finger on but I would say it just didn't have the hoppiness of a good IPA or the tart flavor you get in a sour. The few IPA Sours I have had did have a thicker mouthfeel and either leaned more heavily on taste one way or the other (IPA or Sour) or were a nice blend of both but this just didn't hit on anything I was looking for in that style.
I am happy to see you guys distributing up North though as I have seen many CM options in the Joe Canal's cooler in Woodbridge pretty regularly.

Respectfully disagree, just bought a 4 pack and will be purchasing another soon! Second only to City to the Shore (honorable mention Snag and Drop). Such a fun, easy drinking beer for the spring! Gonna be in my fridge for Bayfest! Cheers!

I had a bottle of Coastal Evacuation over the weekend and liked it very much. I'm only just warming up to IPAs and this one hit a lot of the notes I like in IPAs, I suspect a big part of that is the use of Centennial hops.

I hope to see more of their beers in my area (Somerset County) and I got this from my dad.
