Just cracked my only can of Fla plates last night. Got thru a quarter of it and the rest got drained. I dig the fruit but this was around the Coir Boiz level of tolerance for me (although nothing will ever come close to the level of awesomeness of that label).

I bought a 4pk of Florida Plates 2 the other day in the hope that the passionfruit will mellow out in a few weeks. El Camino Misfires might be my favorite thing on the board right now.

Yeah but you should cover that with the Pence tweets futures, right? He must have passed the magic number by now...

What do people think about the 2 FL plates? I have the same opinion as everyone else, its fruited to near undrinkability, but I definitely preferred the pineapple to the passionfruit. You?

Basically my thoughts exactly, not sure why I ended up buying a 4pk to be honest.

I actually preferred the passionfruit. I find pineapple to have a weird flavor in beer.

Fair, I find the passionfruit to be tart and not in a round "sour IPA" way.

Interesting comments on OH line life. If there was ever any doubt!!

<<Some breweries, like Other Half, have made waiting in lines an intrinsic part of their experience, while others, like Sixpoint, have taken steps to try to circumvent it. Right now, lines are a big part of the brewery experience. It’s a culture, a lifestyle. Beer fans enjoy the “line life,” if you want to say it that way. Talking to Sam [Richardson, co-owner of Other Half], they have lines because their customers want that. They’re giving their fans what they want.>>

Echoing others, I was pleasantly surprised by the subtlety of Panna e Fragole--certainly a change of pace from their more heavily hopped DIPAs. Those who mentioned the subtlety of the hops used (sans Citra) were spot on, and I think OH scaled back its Citra usage to reflect that. Drinks more like 7%, and no single note really dominates the others. Really nice mix of floral flavors to complement the typical fruit melange, and the strawberry is restrained (almost absent when cold, but dominant on aftertaste by the time it warms). Nothing mind blowing, but certainly preferable to FL-P-2.

Thanks, I was admittedly hoping it would be more of an strawberry milkshake, so I might just try it out on tap rather than pick up cans.

Short line today, about 15 bodies around the second corner

Also sounds like there are roughly 200 cases of each beer.

Here’s to hoping things don’t all run out before I get there at 11:30-ish. Will definitely say hi to the Sixpoint crew.

Will be passing by on way from DC to LI. Would be near OH at around 1230. Any idea if it’ll be worth stopping for cans i.e. cans left? How have last few releases lasted? Any insight would be appreciated.
