Thomas Hooker has/had a beer called Belma brewed with Belma hops that flew completely under the radar. I really enjoyed the unique flavors of that beer. Alot of strawberry as you stated.

    Congratulations! To many more:beers:
Nobody got that around here. Minimum was too much. (I asked.)
That did show up, sometime in the last month or so. (It was canned in October.) Still good?
Drinking while half on the stool? Could be risky. You might have to translate that for us.:smile:
Thanks. Good to know. I passed on it , as there were no singles, & there was Wrench, & ~10 other highly-rated ones, that showed up at the same time.
Saw quite a few sap boxes still out there(Ouaquaga) , 2/3-3/4 full, on my way back from Damascus yesterday. Supposed to be in the teens & 20s the next few nights, so they should have 3 or 4 more days, at least.

Really liking this one. So glad to see it in cans ($12.99/6) rather than big bottles ($15.99/1).

Flavor is crispy & doughy bread, dried lemon, lavender , fermenting apple ( the Brett?), with no noticeable funk of the usual kinds. 7.2%?:open_mouth: Drinks much lighter. Could be dangerous on a hot summer day. Goes down so light & easy.

One side-note : "White Sage"? Salvia apiana is only in SoCal, so likely a Sagebrush (Artemisia sp.) , but given location, likely not White Sagebrush (A ludoviciana) . (Pitfalls of common names, Episode #33,247:wink:) Never had absinthe, but given the source(s) , A. absinthium & A. ponticum, maybe a side-by-side is in order? Just finishing this up, and there is a slight milky white residue on the dry parts of the glass, so consistent with Artemisia sap. (& the knot in my stomach, for awhile?:grimacing: Ok after a break in drinking it.:sunglasses:)

Earlier, for the Dry Irish Stout tasting

Thanks @The-Adjunct-Hippie. Love radlers. This was excellent. Great head retention/lacing for the style. Aromas and flavors of big lightly tart ruby red grapefruit and citrus peel/zest; with balanced cracker, white bread dough malts; and mild herbal/grassy hops. Mild herbal/grassy/citrus peel bitterness and fruit tang/tartness on the finish. Medium-high carbonation, light-medium body, and moderately crisp/clean finishing. Bready/grainy malts and light sticky hops/fruit acidity in the mouthfeel. Light-moderate increasing tart/bitter/carbonated dryness. Perfectly clean lager flavors. Great balance of the base pilsner and grapefruit soda. Very flavorful, never watery for 2.5%. Zero complaints. Spot on stuff. 4

Very nice flavored stout. Great head retention/lacing. Flavors of milk/dark chocolate, coconut, cocoa, coffee, caramel, brown sugar, and toasted dark/brown bread; with light notes of vanilla, toffee, smoke, and herbal hops. Similar/muted aromas. Very mild herbal hop and roast bitterness on the finish. Medium carbonation and light-medium body; great creamy, silky, velvety malt mouthfeel. Slight sticky hops, chalky roast, and increasing dryness. No cloying sweetness. Very flavorful for 4.7%. Great balance of rich stout malt complexity and coconut flavorings. Well restrained and never overpowering on coconut. Looking forward to grabbing the Rum BA Imperial one soon. 3.88

Excellent DIPA. Great head retention/lacing. Aromas and flavors of big tangerine, grapefruit, peach, pineapple, apricot, passion fruit, papaya, mango, melon, berry, citrus peel/rind, green pepper, and pine hops; with moderate caramel, toasted bread malt balance; and herbal, floral, grassy hop earthiness. Light-moderate pine, citrus peel, herbal, grassy, peppery bitterness on the finish. Medium carbonation and medium-full body; balanced creamy/bready malts and sticky hops in the mouthfeel. Light resins/rinds, increasing bitter dryness, no hop astringency. Dangerously smooth, never aggressive, minimal warming 9%. Very juicy, dank, and earthy balanced hop complexity; nice sized bready malt backbone, not overly sweet/heavy. This one is exploding on Ekuanot hops to me. Delicious! 4

I'm working my way through a crowler of Wrath, an 11% RIS from Demented Brewing. I had planned to keep it lighter tonight but a friend dropped the the crowler off unexpectedly. What to do?
