Chicagoland Suburbs - Special Releases

Well over on the Premium Members thread Todd said in the near future Ciders, Sakes, and Meads will be able to be rated, traded and discussed but not yet.

 

Hi! Asking for a friend - anything exciting out near Plainfield (BA brewery only stuff?) that a friend could pick up for an appropriate bottle share contribution? Not sure if Metal Monkey or Miskatonic have bottle stock. I see there are some other breweries out there that I don’t know much about - perhaps there are some left field suburban options to wow the city folk?

 

Little bit of a drive from Plainfield, but Hailstorm is releasing Vlad w/ vanilla Saturday.

Miskatonic may still have some cans of Bell Witch, which is a really good, no frills BA stout. Also, Werk Force has a good kettle sour called Internet Sniper that I believe was aged in oak. I'll try to think of some others.

 

Imperial Oak has several options available including a bourbon barrel aged milk stout and a rum barrel aged Belgian also a few sours.

Not a release, but Myths & Legends in Westmont is promising an exciting new reboot under new management with a new brewer. It's the brewery closest to my house but I'm not all that psyched.

First up will be the release party for #OldMoney - Batch 2 on Friday April 27th, 2018 around 5:30pm. This will be our relaunch party. #OldMoney is a 12% ABV Koval Rye Barrel Aged Imperial Stout with Cacao Nibs, Cinnamon and loads of toasted Coconut. At this event pre-ordered bottles will be available for pick-up. Also it will be on tap for for all to enjoy. There will be a very limited supply of bottles for sale at this event. We’ll have a few of our new beers on tap there as well. Check back often for further developments. More details to come...

We have a lot of cutting edge ideas that we’re working hard to implement. Please be patient with us as we work out our kinks. We know we have plenty. Our new team members are deeply plugged in to the industry and passionate about craft beer and we hope this translates into producing amazing beers and amazing taproom experiences for you to enjoy.

Who brews OldMoney? Is it some group of home brewers? I asked about it on the facebook group and it was basically since I didn't know/order the first batch, I won't have an option to get bottles for any subsequent batch.
