Well this brewery’s entry here has been a waste of time. Lots of talk & little beer - I had a few of them (they were forgettable & I can’t remember which ones at this point).

For once I agree with a trading hobbyist - better off trading for them to actually get them then play this silly waiting game.

My periodic reminder there are too many brands for sale in MA.

There won't be any King Sue, it's not supposed to be canned for another few weeks.

What's going to distro in MA this week for the second shipment of Toppling Goliath will be the following:
    Sosus 22oz
    Golden Nugget - Mosaic 22oz
Golden Nugget 4pk 16oz cans (very limited)
    Pompei 4pk 16oz cans
    Pseudo Sue 4pk 16oz cans
    Dorothy 4pk 16oz cans

It's all going to be very limited allocated amounts like the first shipment. We'll post on our store specific twitter accounts when they arrive at each location.

Watch out for NugMo. Not a huge fan of Golden Nugget but NugMo is pretty damn good.

I had a can of Pompei and thought it was very good. That can be a regular for me if I can get it easily.

I saw some in the cooler at Blanchards in West Roxbury on Sunday. Obviously if more is coming in this week...I will be curious to see how much will be ordered for next time. I saw Dorothy sitting in the cooler at a few places I have been this past week...

I got a 4-pack of Pseudo Sue and Pompeii tonight. Psuedo Sue is nice. This would have been my favorite beer 4-5 years ago. It's not as good as OG Fort Point, but may work in a pinch when I don't feel like making the hour round trip drive to Trillium. First world problems...

Pompeii is nice too, and I usually don't get excited about all-Mosaic beers. Again, not as good as Mosaic Fort Point, but better than similar beers from Lost Nation or others.

Are they worth the hype? If you can't get Trillium or Tree House regularly, I'd say so. And even if you can, they'll probably be good beer store standby options once shipments become more regular.

That's basically my take. King Sue is fantastic... on par with a good batch of Vicinity or Mettle. I'm glad I got to try it and Hopsmack (and Psuedo Sue, although that was... less impressive), but I'd rather buy cans of fresh Trillium for $5/16oz can than TG bombers for $16/22oz bomber.

Welcome to MA, Toppling Goliath. Hope you don't languish on the shelves.

Fort Point Market still had Sosus and Mosaic Dry Hop Golden Nugget in the back cooler earlier today, priced at $15 and $11 respectively. They had a ton of the four packs, both in the coolers and in the front of the store as soon as you come in. Didn't get pricing on those -- only picked up the two I mentioned above.

Grabbed a $9.99 4pk of Golden Nugget. Lovely. Hazy, juicy, little orangey citrus, little sweet, great bitterness.

Can't think of anything in this style at such a great price point that tastes so good. Well impressed.

My favorite of the canned offerings we've gotten so far, by a sizable margin.

that's not really my point, it should be on the packaging.

Anyway, concur with others that Golden Nugget is very nice.

Pemberton Farms had 3/12 Sosus @ $15 in the back corner cooler this afternoon. The format sucks but it is a great beer. Given how the Pseudo Sue cans have been priced, I hope they can come in on the low end of DIPA 4 packs ($17?). If they keep the quality consistent and the batches fresh, they’re competitive with just about anything else on the shelf (and a few beers not on it).
