Thanks to Good Friday, Stock market is closed as well. Lots of things coming together to push a move to Friday.

Also, dare I put forth this conjecture, but perhaps they want to move the release to Friday to let the tap room be a little less insane over a holiday(ish) weekend? Almost like they're starting to like their customers...

I assume it's safe to say that line on Friday will be fairly tame?

According to my dhaakulator® that's ~54 views per comment. That's more than the ~50 views per comment in February but fewer than the ~58 views per comment in January.

Friday might be as terrible as the Wednesday before Thanksgiving (though probably not that bad), but if it is, it won't be terrible because of an extra 4 views per comment.

I'll be in NYC this upcoming weekend and considering going to OH on Sunday before I head to the Nets game. I've only been to the tap room once during a weekday when it wasn't crowded. What's the crowd usually like on a Sunday when there isn't a special release?

    Cheers!

I probably account for a couple hundred of those views myself. The excitement for the upstate release this weekend has me on here all the time. Happy to finally end up with more than just a 4pk I have to trade for.

Although I'll probably still end up trying to trade because that Space Daydream sounds amazing :flushed:

It's my favorite of that series!

Having spent a serious amount of time in the north country, I continue to be happy that Other Half is doing these upstate releases.

I'm glad you feel that way, because we certainly love and are thankful for them. But I also see how sending a bunch of their beers upstate could fit the "Other Half hates locals" mantra.

    You mean my favorite mantra!?!?

Even if people are perturbed about the releases, so what? More of the beer lasts through the weekend. Any release that isn't tied to a super hyped collab is remarkably quiet. Their beers are also available for pours and growlers every day. Other Half hates locals no doubt, but at the same time, we've got it pretty good (plz don't ask me to reconcile those two sentiments).

Beyond OH, in NYC we've got awesome Grimm cans every other week as well as occasional bangers from Interboro, LIC Beer Project, SingleCut, or just our all around kickass distro.

Considering that its Easter Sunday I would think the taproom would be semi-normal.

Guessing it’s a no but does anyone know if OH will sell individual cans instead of the whole 4 pack? Maybe after the line subsides? Trillium does it and it’s great for not overloading the fridge but I think they may be the only ones.

Same here. I understand the logistical challenges associated with selling individual cans (especially when they're trying to move through a line as fast as possible), but it'd be great if leftovers that are sold out of the taproom were available by the can once the craziness of a release subsides. KCBC does this (albeit with a $1 per can markup, which I am admittedly not crazy about...).

so how are we feeling about Saturday morning, given that it's a Friday release? Think they'll have a decent amount of beer left over? I am hoping to get there for open to get some beers for the family gathering on Sunday.

I suppose the line should be minimal/non-existent given the friday release and EQ/HV releasing saturday.

Its hard to say, they sold out the Tuesday before Thanksgiving in a few hours so holiday releases can go fast, although it won't be as crazy as that for sure. Andrew was polling the line at one of the December releases about when to do the holiday release pre-Christmas and mentioned that they want to avoid that happening again so I assume there will be beer on Saturday.
