Looks like an 8% on the can from the Instagram post regarding the release.

Per the Alchemist video, this is a special edition version to benefit the trail organizations, with a very changed up recipe (bit more caramel malt and different hop blend, but still with Amarillo in the mix).

I' hoping there's some Broken Spoke left mid April when I go. The great thing about the Alchemist is that if you are coming to from far its more than worth it for the amount of beer you can get. I also use them as the benchmark for other beers, if they can charge 13 and change for a 4 pack, it makes it very hard for me to spend more than 15 on a 4 pack from a different brewery. My only consistent exception is Singlecut when I can find them in CT.

Is that post from today? I didn’t see anything on Alchemist’s website.

Thanks. The beer video was not up on YouTube at the time of my post. Just the video explaining the partnership.

It's a new edition of Broken Spoke. A IIPA.

Is the Galaxy Skadoosh as good as I hope it is?

Hi all, I'll be returning to Vermont for my annual beer trip in early June. Question- are there still crazy lines on Saturday mornings, and will most beer still be available early afternoon? Thanks.

I'm guessing it'll be somewhat busy on a Saturday in June, but it shouldn't be crazy. If there's a small batch release that you really want, and it's been out long enough to potentially be on it's last legs, I might try to get there earlier. Outside of that, don't stress it.

Anyone know if they ever run out of focal banger they’d r heady topper? So worried that the day I go they’ll be out! Lol

When are you going? If it’s any time soon you have nothing to worry about. It’s mud season and the crowds won’t be back until Memorial Day.

Focal basically never runs out anyway. Heady occasionally, but it’s not hard to find at retail locations listed on their website if you show up on delivery day (or later these days).

Not sure when they made the change, but this new 8% abv version of Crusher is awesome, totally reminds me of truck sale Crusher. Hadn’t had it since they first opened Stowe and was pretty disappointed by how much it tasted like a completely different beer then. And I wouldn’t want it to replace the standard version, but the new Broken Spoke is really good too.

Sometime late fall / early winter of last year. My Crusher from October was still 9%. I think they had actually dialed in the previous ABV pretty well by then, but looking forward to trying the new recipe.
