DC/MD/NoVA Beer Updates (2018)

^ I heard they are continuing to ramp up their volume several fold.

This is a tiny, tiny spot just yards from Nats Park. This is going to be a mob scene. With people complaining about Mikkeller at Citi Field, this has the potential to be even worse.

I'm thinking there could be bigger lines to get into the beer garden than to get into the park at times. Imagine the poor Nats noobs accidentally waiting in line with all the neckbeards...

 

Chameleon IPA, Two Roads Two Juicy, SN Hazy Little Thing, and New Belgium Juicy Haze IPA all came in recently, as well as some Commonwealth and Stone Enjoy By 4.20.

Happy KBS day! Sounds like full 4-packs at Norm's and Dominion.

 

Has anyone here picked up Bluejacket cans? Do they typically sell out on release day, or can you just pop in and grab a couple 4 packs a few days after?

 

I’ve never been for cans but their special bottles last for over a week so I’d guess your fine to swing by whenever.

 

They've been lasting a week or more... might end up being a problem for them actually.

 

Anyone advise on the line/crowd at churchkey right now?

 

Not at churchkey, but Black Squirrel in Adams Morgan has KBS 2018 and CBS 2017 on tap with not many people at the moment.

 

I saw 4-packs of KBS 18 being sold at Sherry's Woodley Park for $59.99. I laughed.

 

Exceptional selection at Calvert Woolley right now. Pirate Bomb, Bourbon Paradise, KBS-$8, Bourbon County, Grimm Caseopeia, plenty of Last Snow, and too many others to name. I think the beer programs right back to quality that Randy had built there.

 

Right Proper Facing Future volume 5 is damn good.

 

Visiting family in DC in mid-April for a week, looking forward to it!

 

I'm staying at the Holiday Inn Express at East-Andrews AFB next weekend for a wedding, is there anywhere around there to pick up some decent beer? I looked at the map but it doesn't seem like much is out there. I'm also heading to Arlington Cemetery Saturday morning to see my grandpa, so I could also hit up some places around there. Just looking for some spots that may have beers I can't get in Cleveland. I'm hoping to hit up Aslin on my drive in for some cans also, hopefully there isn't much of a line Friday afternoon/evening. Thanks in advance!

 

Shouldn't be a line at Aslin-as long as you're a bit after opening (3 PM). Arlington has The Brew Shop, which is a pretty decent selection - if you can get out near ANC.

 

You also may want to check out Arrowine and K-1 in Arlington and Dominion Wine and Beer in Falls Church.

 

Has that new Sixpoint Alpenflo shown up anywhere around here?

 

If anyone is still looking for Founders KBS, I stopped at Costco in Pentagon City, and they had 750ml bombers for $15.99
