This will be my first year attending DL day.....assuming I attain a ticket. Fingers crossed!! A few questions for anyone willing to answer.....

-Do we expect the variants to be announced between now and Saturday, or after ticket sales closer to the day of the event?

-I know the $180 includes bottles, variant, bag, and wristband to purchase draft pours/food. However in order to purchase said draft pours/food you still need to purchase with debit card, correct? What are anyone's thoughts on moving from cash only over the years to card only? Won't this inevitably cause longer wait times for draft pours?

-Draft offerings from the attending breweries I assume won't be announced until closer to the fest?

Thanks in advance for any insight. Cheers all. Hope to see some of you at the share in line before entry ha.

I don't think they announce variants until after ticket sales. And they don't ever announce draft offerings...

Variants and bands won’t be announced for a good while yet.

Drafts are never posted ahead of time. Part of the fun is not knowing when or where something fun will be tapped.

Lines are gonna be slow, cash or no cash. Pepper your angus.

I don't think there will be a debit card option. Seems like you will need to link your debit or credit card to your wristband and pay for everything with that. Will likely be very quick I'd imagine.

You don’t have to link anything. It’s optional. They’re taking cards and Apple Pay as well.

Someone comes to ask a real question and the whole bird goes silent! Variants aren’t usually announced until just before the festival, as in the same day or the day before. Bands will be announced a few weeks before. Tap lists are never announced. People paying with RFID bracelets should make things go swiftly. Of course all this info is subject to change without notice, good luck!!!

Usually not announced until closer to the event. Traditionally they were not announced until the morning of the event, but the past couple years they have announced them a week or so before.

You can link your wristband to a credit card and use that to purchase drafts, however it will require you to enter a PIN. I too am worried about lines, wristbands should be faster if everyone sets them up instead of whipping out their credit cards.

Typically they do not announce any of the beers, or even breweries that will be pouring, at least not since like 2012. This year however they did list the breweries that will be there pouring, and made mention of tap times to come which makes me think at least some beers will be announced. I would not expect that until days before the event if at all.

I'm more excited about whatever this FloydMania thing is. Can I watch WrestleMania at Three Floyds and how damn early will I need to be there?

Because it's overrated. Three Floyds is great but, I'm not waiting in line to buy a $15 imperial stout that isn't that mind blowing to begin with. I showed up at Surly on a random day and drank barrel aged darkness on tap. Sorry not paying $80 to hang out in a parking lot surrounded by warehouses and medical facilities to drink beer and have the opportunity to spend more on the beer it's named for. If I show up at three floyds the day after and they have it on tap i might have one. But, yeah not happening.

I showed up at FFF on a random day and saw the only good thing about Surly working there.

Or they could pull what they did on the last two festivals I went to (Extreme Beer Festival Boston 2017, Hunaday 2018) and just not show up or without the beers that they said they were bringing. Don't get me wrong, I love Prairie, but my festival track record with them is not good.

I was also at that Huna Day. I won't be surprised to see that happen. Prairie is good at stouts, ok at sours, and terrible at logistics.

Yup, still doesn't make it right, but alas, life's a bitch and then you die.
Well shit, I didn't know it was that easy to drink rare beer. Looks like my Saturday just got wide open!

Nah but really good for you. For those of us who don't want to bank on happenstance, we need to wait.

I vehemently object to this gross mischaracterization! There's a graphics company and a synagogue in the vicinity as well!

You guys think they'll have the Royal Wedding on some TV's/Projectors around the festival? I really want to watch it.

Please dress appropriately. I hear their distant cousin- some Earl of Biggles-something may be skipping the wedding to go to represent at DLD.
