What beer are you drinking now? #1987

Prolly didn't need this one but can sleep in tomorrow....

 

I had this last night. Thought it was great. Courtesy of a dude in PA.

 

I’m not a hypocrite just because I’m drinking this after what I said in my last post. I just had a genuine need for an extreme beer. Is that so wrong?

16 months hasn’t hurt this one bit. Mmmm. Have one more I’m saving for next winter.

Central Waters Peruvian Morning has hit our area-my local shop is saving me some. I just love being able to speak w them via email and they save things for me. I look forward to it as it it will be a 1st for me. Will save some but you have to remind me.

I look forward to the possibility that we can meet again next yr. !

We do have a lot of great breweries in NYC, no doubt about it.

However...the view from Singlecut is a lot closer to Rikers Island than the Brooklyn Bridge . (Just to keep you from being disillusioned if you ever do pay a visit .)

That's why we keep cellars- because there is such a thing as a 'sudden genuine need' .

 

Second time trying this beast. Yup. It’s still phenomenal. Sweet bourbon flavor & aroma gives way to a plethora of dark, forbidding, and bitter roasted barley...then a sweet, boozy, bourbon finish. I may need to get out the spare liver:

Having Hoplicated DIPA by Odd Side Ales. Kind of tastes like a double of two hearted in a way. But that might just be the beer talking.

 

I know. This is not a beer pic. And I know this is not the platform for this kind of post but I am old and old people sometimes do not give a damn about what folks think.

Anyone, two weeks ago, my daughter had to put her dog down. They came to the house after the dog had a terrible night. I stayed with the dog the entire night and I can tell you it was a horrible thing.

The Vet was so nice. Lucy got to pass away on her favorite couch. They gave my daughter her ashes. We are gonna spread them.

Ok. I apologize in advance and will let this subject go. And yes, I am drinking wine.
