2012 Victory at Sea

I don't know but that's some good stuff there. All day everyday.

 

I picked up a good amount yesterday at the Ballast Point Home Brew shop/tasting room location. Great stuff. Tis year's version seems a bit more coffee forward.

 

This is a fall release? I was under the impression that this was released in January. That means I can start to look for this one again, awesome! this beer is soooo good when fresh!!! This is one of my favorite porters of all time!!

 

It released at the brewery and homebrew shops this Monday and according to their newsletter it should have hit most stores shelves within a reasonable distribution radius by Tuesday.

 

picked some up today in San Jose.............it was awsome

 

Great beer! Still have some 2011 version it tastes soooo good more vanilla less booze

 

I gotta stock up when I see it, one of my favorites.

 

I have cases of this locked down when it hits the area. I can easily drink a couple bottles of this a week throughout fall and winter. This is not one I trade. I drink this in volume.

 

I just picked some up from Bevmo Douglas. Natomas should get some soon I would think.

 

Yep, fall release. Sea Monster Imperial Stout is the winter release, I believe. Everywhere in Illinois except the Chicago area gets Ballast Point. I just pick up what's available when I'm in another part of the state. Was out west today in the Rockford area and found some fresh Sculpin, but no Victory at Sea

 

Mind sharing where you found Sculpin in Rockford? Had some this weekend for the first time and really liked it....

 

No doubt. I absolutely love Sculpin. I found it at Artale Wine: http://beeradvocate.com/beer/profile/19563. They had both 6 packs and bombers.

 

Nice! And I just drank one of my last '11's last weekend at a Halloween party. Come on, Victory at Sea was the capper for my pirate costume. You gotta admit, that logo is real "piratey."

Heres to hopin it makes it to CT. this time maybe,it would be the 1st appearance since 2009.

Seriously. This was arguably THE beer that sold me on craft when I got into the hobby two years ago and I haven't seen it since around here. Hopefully I find some bottles floating around the Burgh this time around.

 

I heard this may end up being something like an early spring release for New England.
