Last year free parking was gone by 6:30. Paid parking without having to cross Calumet was gone by probably 7:00 (last year firemen were collecting money for parking in that medical complex). Not sure how long the paid parking across the street at Centennial Park lasts as I've never had to use it.

A room for 4 at the Springhill ran for $399 a night....stupid expensive, but not too bad time my group splits it. Plus it is a 5 minute walk so that is a huge plus. My group has walked from the Hampton the last 3 years, so this is definitely and upgrade.

The lack of whining is amazing. Nice when we all get what we want for a change.

Book soon. Any hotel within walking distance is almost certainly full. I would suggest staying in IN rather than over the border in Lansing, IL. Hotels along 80/94 in Munster/Highland/Hammond aren't super close, but are fine. Merrillville has lots of options on I-65/R30, but they are a tad farther (20-25 min?). Schererville along R30 or Indianapolis Blvd would be closer, but Merrillville has more options.

There is very limited camping at the Indiana Dunes, but that would be about a 40-50min drive.

I think you inadvertently just made the band even better "He-Dragon Abortion"...

And to the people arguing over selling out- the ticketing systems are the bottleneck. It's kind of like if FFF did in pub sales only with a line of 10,000 people and someone saying "They don't have the demand they used to, they used to sell out in the first hour..." Well, they can only process so many people a minute even though they have thousands queued...

This was such a painless process this year. Grabbed two Group A tickets right off the bat. That can only mean one thing. The return of the freezing rain!

Our Group are B and D and the 4th DLD for me in a row. Need to keep the muscat barrel variant vertical intact...

Is anyone keeping tabs on the website to see if it changes or if new info pops up? I glanced through it, but don't really remember what it said so I couldn't tell if anything changed.

It’s all good. Our group will end up staying at some jizzed stained hotel room in Lansing as usual.

    Soooooo...
Got online at 11:30 and waited for the ticket sale. I had the phone going first and then the computer. For some reason the phone timer was a few seconds quicker even after refreshing both a few times.
The timer hits zero and it takes a good 30 seconds on both devices for the ticket options and captcha to pop up. I select best available on both and boom, I’m in queue on both. After 10 minutes of waiting I knew something had to be done. I kept the phone in queue as not to “lose my place in line” as e-tix says.
On the PC I refresh and see groups A, B, and C are gone. This time I select D. Meanwhile the phone is still in queue. It’s now 12:12. I refresh the PC again, select group E, and a group B ticket appears for me. The f**k?! 12:18 comes and I get a group B ticket while trying for D and E despite A, B, and C being gone. My phone remained in queue until I closed it after getting a ticket on the PC. Queue continues to be a joke.
