Their Helles, and Vienna are two of my favorite beers....I don't know how much of those you will see down there though. Pils and Kolsch are the two that they distribute heavily.

We'll also be opening Garden Path Fermentation at the Port of Skagit very soon in the next building up from South Nut, at 11653 Higgins. We'd hoped to be able to do at least a soft pre-open of some sort for Skagit Farm to Pint Fest this Saturday, which, unfortunately, it doesn't look like we're going to be able to pull off at this point, but we are getting very close...

Dang @John_M , I gotta think their Kolsch and Helles would stack up nicely. Maybe I'm wrong. I'm not a Dunkel fan, but many people enjoy Chuckanuts Dunkel.

Heck, I thoroughly enjoy the Kolsch from Occidental, even though I've been ribbed for this in the past.

Chuckanut Pilsner just went on at Beermongers. It's delicious. As my buddy James says, "Get you some."

Sorry I missed out on Structure's Table Beer, but I really can't complain.

Made a couple stops last night. Wander has a new Strawberry-Rhubarb sour on tap that clocked in at 9.2%ABV. Thr Rhubarb was a bit much for me, but if y'all like it, you should try it if you see it.

Menace has a new IPA on tap, Walking Distance, that looks like a well-made Pilsener, but packs a nice, bitter, hop punch. It's kinda the Anti-Murky IPA. Also worth trying if you see it.

Couple new notes. Garden path just posted on FB that they've received their licenses to officially be a brewery and winery. Also, some collabs are starting to show up around town that involve the new Twin Sisters brewery. I believe that there's an event featuring them at the specialty beer store here in town tonight. Not sure if it's all collabs, or if they'll actual TS brews on tap.

Up in the Columbia/Elizabeth neighborhood (right where where Elm changes into Northwest) is a little nursery/produce stand called Goods. They are in the of a remodel to install a tap room. There's a Mexican food truck that's already parked there, and they'll be staying, along with other food trucks. Gonna have rotating taps, outdoor seating, and be open year-round (which the produce/nursery part isn't). They're expecting to be open in about another 3-4 weeks.

Wander released their latest MurkBomb yesterday, OneEyePA - Citra. it was good, but I was a bit bored bt the end of my pint, nothing but hops, with nothing for them to play against. Limited number of 16oz 4packs available, and on tap at the brewery. Didn't think to ask if any kegs will be getting out. Sorry.

Cans shows up as far down south as Pint Defiance, I think.

But, (IIRC) it was only a 117 case run, and they were moving briskly at the brewery yesterday.

Edit: just checked their FB, and it was 171 cases. Not sure how much went into kegs.

The wife and I dropped into the area last week as we wrapped up her birthday week of festivities from Portland to Bellingham. Aslin, Structures, and Skookum were drinking very well. (That's how the wine crowd expresses that if I'm correct  ) Melvin was decent. We will spend more time, next time in the area. The Anderson school was an interesting stay. Cheers!

For clarity, Aslan is in Bham, Aslin is back in VA. Don't want folks getting confused. Aslin gets some hype on BA, so I thought it was worth clarifying. Glad you enjoyed your trip, I hope you hit Wander. IMHO, they make the best and most interesting beers in town.

Yet they only them in the tap room in Bellingham. Can't even schlep a couple of cases to the co-ops.

Thought the latest batch came out really well.

Ah yes sorry for my typo/misremembering. We sadly did not make it to Wander this time, there were some car issues that curtailed our trip a bit. Next time though! We will probably just stay in B-ham a couple nights then to get more acquainted. This was more of a "fact-finding" trip to confirm, that yes, awesome beer is being done in NW Washington  Next, we will ramp up to full on expedition trip status.

Went to the gong show, aka April Brewers Day, in Bellingham to top off Bham Beer Week. Organizers sold about double the number of tickets that otherwise could have made it an enjoyable event. 30 minute lineups for port-a-toilets did me in after an hour, where line control resembled a Mad Max chase scene. Not a lot of interesting beers to be had and, for some reason, the few cideries that were there all had 15+ minute lineups for a 4 ounce pour.

    Won't be back.
