I agree, super smooth event. I would only add that the tour was also great. Neil was pretty candid regarding the issues they've had with adjuncts, and was happy to hang out and answer questions (and my tour group asked tons of questions). I would definitely recommend it if you get the chance.

Friday was kind of a cluster... got there at 2 and spent about 75 minutes in line, ran out of almost all the "hype" beers to-go before we got in. Had some obvious mules and line cutters in front of us.

Decided to go back Saturday and it was much smoother. We got everything finally, but the limits were about 1/2 what they were Friday. Transmountain Diversion was tasting great on tap and I really enjoyed Mudslide Medianoche in particular.

It was kinda sad that we went two days and only got 1/1 bottles of Nutella and Neapolitan, whereas people who came Sunday got 2 bottles each with very little waiting. It is what it is, I guess.

Hence why I went early. People were wondering why there was a line early (I got there maybe 1 hour before they opened) but was totally worth the 1 hour pre-open than post-open. I got through the line in 5 minutes, got my beer, and was drinking at the bar the rest of the afternoon.

I think WeldWerks did an amazing job with organization, it was just SO MUCH BEER they were releasing. It took the staff 2 full minutes just to type in all the beer one individual was purchasing, then it took another 5 to verify they got the right beers out of the fridge for each order. Good system, but hard to sell that much beer (of that many varieties) that quickly with that high of a demand.

You're right though Friday was insane, the line was outside the building still at 2:00pm in the afternoon, 3 hours after they opened. I applaud them though for their attempt at so many smaller batches to have variety and I still had a great time. HUGE kudos to their staff, great attitudes all day long. I do think they tried to gauge turnout, but it's really hard to know how many people will show up, and I think they did the right thing spanning the releases over the entire weekend.

Oh, we tried. I only worked 4 hours Friday, got in early, and then left immediately. But traffic through Denver already sucked and the drive from our job to WW took 3 hours.

Thanks to everyone that stopped by this weekend and braved the crowds. Needless to say, the volume far exceeded what we anticipated and we actually went into the weekend with high expectations this time around. But you guys continue to blow past those expectations, so thank you for the amazing support!

We did our best to make adjustments throughout the weekend in an effort to try and streamline and expedite service as much as possible, and also to keep to go options available as long as possible. Ultimately, as @Prospero mentioned, there just wasn't much more we could do given the number of people, amount of beer purchased, and the number of styles we offered. We could have moved a little faster with half the number of beers, both on draft and available to go, but we wanted to go all out and I think most customers would agree that it was worth the added wait to have such a vast selection available for the weekend. Overall, I am extremely proud of our team and how they were able to successfully manage such unbelievable volume. To put it in perspective, we sold more beer this past weekend than we did in the first 6 months we were open!

That being said, we definitely appreciate everyone's feedback to help us continue to improve these kinds of events and releases. We are constantly evaluating our systems and processes, as we are never content to settle. Thanks again to everyone who came out to make it a weekend for the record books. We look forward to doing it all again in June for the Invitational!

The invitational is gonna be bananas. But seriously, I think Mudslide Achromatic needs to be a thing, if that's possible.

Both my friend and I drank cans of double mango milkshake fruity bits last night.
Loved the mango, but there is a very pungent/sharp bitterness that was kind of off-putting. Really killed the flavor for both of us. Still managed to finish the can. Beer looks amazing too. I would recommend anyone who has some to wait at least a couple weeks (probably a month) before cracking one. I got the same impression in the taproom but thought the cans might be better.

Anyone tried cans of PB&J stout- what were your impressions?

Hey, traveling to Denver for work in May. Staying in a hotel downtown on 14th. Any cool spots I can eat nearby that may have Weldwerks on tap? Help a bro out. Wish I could travel out to the brewery but wont have the time.

Freshcraft gets a lot of WW. Looks like they have Black Forest Cake Stout on tap right now.

About 95% guarantee of WW on tap would be Crafty Fox and Walters.

Just had my first can last night and it still tastes the exact same as it did on tap at the anniversary, which is exactly as you described. I love the smell and the taste matches that but that hop bite on the back end is pretty rough still. Definitely needs a softer mouthfeel.

I got a four pack, and have had one. It wasn't gross. I guess it was alright-it definitely had a pbj flavor, but did not have an over the top gross-ass fake peanut flavor. Gotta have a few more to decide if I like it.

Has anyone heard anything on the Vanilla Medianoche replacement bottles? I know the Medianoche Reserve replacement bottles (Mexican Medianoche) are coming soon, but I don’t think I’ve even heard if my return has even been accepted on the Vanilla yet, and that was submitted months ago?

    Thirded and following.
I submitted my infected vanilla application, they confirmed they received it, but haven't sent out anything since. Not complaining; i love that they're doing right on this. Just curious what's up.

    Hey guys,

Assuming it's normal can drops, with no bottles (or anything that's super limited), what does a normal release Friday look like at WW? My wife and I are going to be in Denver area this summer and I'm trying to decide if we need to plan to be there on Friday, or if we head up on Saturday/Sunday will we still be OK with onsite offerings to bring home? Any help would be appreciated, thanks!

If there is no Achromatic, it usually lasts several days. With Achromatic, that really drives traffic from the Denver area. Sometimes a hype IPA will sell out. If Friday is feasible, I'd recommend it, it's usually a fun atmosphere. However you'll have fun no matter what, and draft pours should last through the weekend unless there is a mega-hype Medianoche on tap, but even then it may last. Hope this helps.

Thanks so much; totally does. I figured we'd roll up there on Friday just to be safe but that's good to know in case there's something non-beer related that we may want to prioritize for that day.
