Getting cans on the Friday will absolutely depend on whether or not there is a midweek release next week. If you are looking to get cans but don't care about what specifically, something almost always lasts the line now so you can show up at around 11am or so and get cans. Otherwise lining up around 8:30am should get you everything barring some insane collab drop.

Given that its past 1:30 it seems unlikely that another can release will happen this week? I'm praying #staytunedformore does not mean glass ware of some flavor on Saturday.

So either they are releasing the dual hop silently today (not likely), or it will be released tomorrow at opening. If they are having an issue with canning it may just show up for Saturday. Who knows.

I was wondering if that was going to actually happen still. Gonna be a shitshow tomorrow for sure.

Total shitshow tomorrow for sure. No way many of those beers last the afternoon.

Wondering if this will be more or less crowded than the Monkish takeover.

With the bottles? Almost assuredly more. Also I'd rather go to this takeover because of the JWB stouts.

I hope getting on line at 11am is enough? Really don't want to get there at 10am...I may have to though.

Does the #staytunedformore at the top of the post mean that there is even more to come or this is what they meant by #staytunedformore?

Is $25 a normal price for a beer like this? Not trying to knock the pricing, just purely curious.

I've never actually bought a bottle from Other Half before, mostly because I don't really like stouts. They always seem so pricey for the volume, especially compared to the canned IPAs. This isn't exclusive to OH. I assume I'm just missing something.

How can that many people get on line at 10 am on a workday?

FWIW, JWB sells DFPF for $20 a bottle cash only. These are 750ml bottles as opposed to OH's normal 500ml bottles.

Everyone I chatted with at the Monkish takeover were tourists from out of the tri-state area.

A lot of people will be "working from home". Even more common on a Friday.

Also, a 9-5 where you MUST be at your desk at a certain time is a relic. Most progressive companies -- much more so in the tech industry (as opposed to finance) -- allow their employees to have flexible work hours/schedules/times. Outside of pay, that flexibility and Work-Life balance is basically the #1 way to attract and retain talent, especially for those employees under 40.

My company (a fortune 50) just trusts me to get my work done and deliver. They don't care when or where I work. I can work from home, skip days, go work from Thailand for a month etc. Some weeks I work a little, some weeks I work insane hours. But I'm always connected and available. My work day is essentially burts of 2 hours here and there, so it's spread out. A static 40-hour week doesn't make much sense in a lot of industries and jobs.

Plus, I travel a ton and maybe see my boss a handful of times a year in person. He usually doesn't even know what time zone I'm in.

Thats one hell on a guest taplist for JW & EQ!
almost glad I'll be out of town tomorrow so I don't have to deal with that madness, but I'd kill to try those stouts!
