Why No Half Acre Just outside Chicago?

    I'm exactly one hour west of downtown Chicago...We get just about every brand distributed in the midwest(Bruery, Oskar Blues, STONE, Boulevard, etc) ......I cant think of any beer distributed in the midwest that I want, that isnt in my local stores...Besides Half Acre.

    I know there still a pretty small outfit, but I'm not far at all from them...I cant figure out why I cant go grab Daisy Cutter at my local spots :slight_frown:

    You can obtain Half Acre at Binny's in Arlington Heights, Schaumburg and Bloomingdale
    Also seen it at the Schaumburg Armanettis as well

    According to the guys at the brewery, they're barely even distributing to the southside. It's still a very small operation.

    How about the Binny's in St. Charles or Algonquin??

    Asked one of the guys at Binny's Algonquin on Saturday and he said they do not get Half Acre.

    They are still making beer? I havent seen anything new from them in atleast a year. I thought they were just selling old supplies of Daisy Cutter and Gossamer at this point.

    Right. I was there Saturday, and they said they're maxed out right now, and that they only regularly distribute to the north side of Chicago.

    I don't know but we get their beers in Philadelphia. So flippin' lucky.

    I was there yesterday, they are certainly still making beer (very good stuff) and they are about to open a taproom.

    I know the Jewel-Osco in Bartlett carries Half Acre.

    Very lucky and I definitely took advantage of that when I was in Philly over the summer. Went to a bar that had BA Over Ale on tap. I had my fair share of those for sure.

    You can go there and buy a keg... I have a keg of overale and daisy cutter in my kegerator right now.
