Find the coolest room in your house and put it there, but honestly you'll only be able to get a few years out of it at 71 degrees. Probably. Maybe.

I don't know, just drink a bottle once a month for the next two years.

71 is definitely above the ideal range. At that temp the beer will age faster but you may also promote unpleasant aging. At that temp its a hard call between leaving it as it is and storing it in the fridge long term. How much of the year is your house at 71? What's the hottest it gets in the summer? I suppose it comes down to space. How much fridge space do you have for long term beer storage? And is it safe from others drinking it? Do you have access to any other spaces that may stay cooler throughout the year (at parents' or friend's houses)? In the long run not having the proper storage conditions for your bcbs isn't the worst of problems, but your current setup doesn't sound ideal. You might just have to drink it sooner.

wouldn't do it. I'd drink it. Don't worry, they'll make more.

or what about buying a mini fridge with temp control? im sorta new at the storage thing so bear with me...most years i have only been lucky enough to score a 4 pack or two at most, so i never even thought of what to do with the extra..

Regular fridge would be your best option unless you go the mini ridge route. Years ago I bought a wine fridge that I keep at 50 degrees. You could probably buy a mini fridge and a temp control for less money, though.

I have a regular size refrigerator in the basement. Anyone on here have a link to a good temperature control I can buy online?

Drink what you have now and put the rest in the fridge. From my experience Heavy stouts like KBS and BCBS will thin out and get much drier when stored at warmer temps.
