Good morning everyone! Just got a PR at the Freiburg 10k. Best way to finish a race:

Congrats! Morning you all. After my second no show this year for a Sunday I decided to get up early today! Did you know that cheesecake bites have to happen? Did you also know that without graham crackers or those kitschy nilla wafers you can still make these little crusties with ground up walnuts. On were they good!

Good morning BA, have a great Sunday! Not much going on as usual. Another normal Sunday for me. Laundry, bottle returns, and a grocery run for the week.

6 year revisit review. This was awesome! Great head retention/lacing on the glass. Aromas and flavors of big mango, peach, pineapple, apricot, grapefruit, tangerine, lemon zest, orange peel, light pepper, and pine hops; with moderate caramel, toasted bread malts; and herbal, floral, grassy hop earthiness. Light-moderate pine, citrus peel, herbal, grassy, spicy bitterness on the finish. Medium carbonation and medium-full body; balanced creamy/bready malts and sticky hops in the mouthfeel. Slight resins/rinds, increasing bitter dryness, no hop astringency. Dangerously smooth, mildly increasing warmth of 9%. Not as impressive as I remember, but still delicious. Very juicy and lightly dank hop complexity; sizable malty backbone, but not overly sweet for a DIPA. Glad I grabbed the 4 pack as expected. 4.1

This is still tasting insane! Flavors of lightly tart blueberries, milk chocolate, cocoa, caramel, toffee, fudge, vanilla, toasted coconut, bourbon, oak, and dark bread; with lighter notes of molasses, licorice, and raisins. Light roasted bitterness and fruit tartness on the finish. Full bodied with an amazing creamy, silky, velvety, and rich mouthfeel. Some light roast malt chalkiness and fruit acidity; touch of dryness from both. Never cloyingly sweet, but definitely a dessert beer. Amazingly smooth, minimally warming 10.5%. A near perfect balance of berries, cocoa/vanilla, malt, and barrel character. Tons of flavor complexity, and it all comes together extremely well. I've always been a big fan of fruit stouts, so I'm not surprised how much I loved this one. Seems pretty polarizing to most people, but this is one of my favorites from the backstage series. This is the 10th bomber I've had, and I have a few more in the cellar. I keep grabbing these randomly every time I see them. Well worth the price. I hope they make it again.

Paris-Roubaix day! My favorite day in all of professional cycling. The riders have ridden the first two cobbled sectors out of 29. Quite a big day in cycling. Fun fact: The 2018 Tour of France's stage 9 this year will ride some of these same sectors, something that very, very rarely happens. It could be a historic day in professional cycling, either for the worst or the best.

The beer in my glass for this event is Belgium out of favor for some of my favorite riders and Belgium's dominant presence in the Spring Classics.

I struck out on 4-packs of KBS this year (I really didn't feel like hunting all around Jacksonville), so I had to "settle" for 4 bombers instead. Saving three, and cracking one now.

    Those cheesecake bites look awesome!

ps-My wife makes a cheesecake that's to kill for, so I may have to tell her to help me make one! (we haven't had one in over a year! :slight_frown: )

Citra/Amarillo Edition. Outstanding NEIPA! Awesome lasting head retention and thick soapy lacing on the glass. Aromas and flavors of big tangerine, lemon, peach, pear, pineapple, apricot, passion fruit, mango, melon, grapefruit, citrus zest, and light pepper/pine hops; with balanced wheat, toasted biscuit, light honeyed malt sweetness; and herbal, floral, grassy hop earthiness. Very minimal pine, zesty, herbal, grassy bitterness on the finish. Medium carbonation and medium-plus body; very creamy/bready/grainy wheat mouthfeel with light sticky hops. Slightly increasing lingering bitter dryness, no cloying/hop astringency. Insanely drinkable/refreshing, with a perfectly soft mouthfeel. Killer style example. Extremely juicy/lightly dank hop complexity; balanced bready malts, not overly sweet/heavy feeling. Wonderful hop showcase. Made sure to grab a full 4 pack after I reviewed it.

This year's batch is tasting insane as expected. Aromas and flavors of huge milk chocolate, vanilla, cream, marshmallow, cocoa, caramel, toffee, molasses, coconut, toasted oak, whiskey, and light dark fruits. Light roast bitterness and whiskey/oak tannin spiciness on the finish. Light-medium carbonation and full body; with an insanely creamy, silky, velvety, and rich mouthfeel. Minimal chalky roast, oak tannins, or dryness. No cloying sweetness. Zero barrel booziness and not much warming alcohol. The balance between the barrel, vanilla, and roasty malt flavors is pretty much perfect. Not quite matching up to the 2015 batch I reviewed, but still stellar and glad I have another one to enjoy in the future.

I love this band, thanks Pandora. Very similar to Leprous/Haken. Prog metal for life.

Just less than 90km in Paris-Roubaix at the time of this posting. This beer probably won't see me into the finish, but it'll most likely be my finish for the day. At least for this portion of the day. Finally checking out this Belgian classic. Providing a review of this beauty over in NBS.

Good morning Ba. It's 14 degrees fahrenheit outside but its tropical in here thanks to Jai Alai IPA from Cigar City Brewing. Long time want for me. Couldn't believe it when I saw it at the local grocery store So I had to swoop down on a sixer.Glad to say it does not disappoint.
It looks, tastes and smells like an IPA but the mouth feel and drinkability on this baby at 65 IBU's is deserving of a world class beer status.I don't know how Cigar City does it but man consider me impressed.Cheers!
