Maine Dinner Release

any rumors or info on next dinner release? trying to plan a trip to portland and would love for it to align to the next release

 

If I had to guess, I'd say around memorial day

 

Pretty funny that they have a Dinner-specific email address.

Had my last Dinner from the March batch last night, still tasting great. Made the last few releases but sadly will not be able to go to this one. Glad to see the volume up and more available

 

Got here a half hour before my ticketed time and there was literally zero line. In and out in 5 minutes.

 

The ticketing system is great. It’ll be interesting to see if they keep doing it seeing how long tickets lasted and given how much more beer they’re making. Ticketing allows them to control crowds but it may not be necessary any more.

 

How much was left after all the ticketed people picked up?

 

Today was not a good day to judge. Massive accident this morning right at Exit 20 off the highway. Traffic was stopped for a long time. State police began to back cars out of the traffic jam. Long back up on the highway and then diverted traffic on Rt 1.

How regularly do they release this beer? Sure would be convenient if they dropped a fresh batch before I next head back to the US.

 

There is no set schedule. I'd say it's every 2 or 3 months.

 

This last release hung around for a couple weeks, which hasn’t been the case previously.

 

Honestly, as a Mainer, not worth the price and time to get. I only stopped by on the last release as I was driving home from NH. I literally walked in, had a flight and bought some to go. I am also the type of person that will never wait in line to get a beer, nothing is that good.

Over all the beer was a nice DIPA, but I will take a Woods and Waters over it any day.

 

Anybody hear anything about a date for opening the new tap room?

 

Save the $5 and just show up for your case at the end of the pickup window.

 

Honestly, who in their right mind is still buying cases of Dinner in 2018.......there's a plethora of equal or better DIPA options in Portland to be had on a daily/weekly basis. Oh yeah, and compared to MBC, those other breweries are charging 3/4 the price....for 2x the amount of beer...in a better packaging format.

 

Heading up to Portland tomorrow. Is Dinner ever on draft anywhere other than the brewery?

 

Hopefully people who haven't had it or are trading or selling it to people as dumb as they were before they actually drank it.
