So does anyone know heard a rumor they are offering refunds on the Rue D Floyd bottles from 17? I didn’t see this until after I tried mine last night and dump it?

Same someone post on untapped check in save the bottle they are giving refunds at the kiosk due to infection?

I have 3 unopened, has anyone had one recently that was not a drain pour? I figure what the hell, if they will take empties I might as well try, right?

Yes. Give it a try for science and report back. This is a shame. I had this on draft at FFF and thought it was amazing. Mine turned into a cherry sour. Uggghhh.

Omg give it a try but wow honestly my first infected beer experience was aweful! Popped the top smelled like a sour immediately but didn’t gush as others are reporting here. Tried to force it down since it was a $30 bottle and because that was before I knew about this credit refund thing at the kiosk but just couldn’t do it drain poured half of it. Honestly I was gagging it down almost had to stop. Weird it did get less sour smelling as it warmed up but wow knew right away infected. Super bummed too my friend bought three bottles last year Thursday before dark lord and he drank one Sunday after dark lord and loved it. He will be returning two full bottles tomorrow.

Luckily I got dark lord day tickets so will be returning for the second time this year so I can at least get the credit I guess. Hopefully they continue to give the credit for another month and half!

Man Splits would be an excellent beer to put in a barrel

Just had it on tap at a local bar. Had it months ago at 3 Floyd's and it was even better tonight than I remember. Decent amount of body and sweetness. Touch of spice. Good stuff

Zombie Dust bombers available at the kiosk (is it a sign from above that they release this the day I decide to peruse the FFF releases forum?)

I'm just curious as to why 3Floyds released Zombie Dust in bombers? That's definitely a less preferred format for PA/IPA/DIPAs these days. I do like the price though at $4/bomber.

They've done this before. Been awhile though, I think. Was discussing from some co-workers when the last time was, seemed like at least a year if not more, could be wrong though, only recently started tracking closer with the @3FloydsWatcher account. Would love to get a hold of some of these, but don't think it's worth the 3 hour round-trip trek probably. Have plenty in 12oz bottles still.

I was wondering the same. They did it about 2.5 years ago (November 2015), and I thought the rumor was they did it then as a test for some bottling. I wondered if there was a reason for doing it this way, or just felt like changing it up.

That was my recollection as well (as to the reasoning they went to bombers back then).

Do they just have too many 22oz bottles sitting around at the moment? Brewed too much Zombie Dust? Playing around with the bottling line utilizing a beer that they know they can move quickly? New recipe?!? Doubt we ever find out.

I wish they'd just get a canning line of tallboys going already. That would be perfect. Don't know what they have against cans.

What I love is that they charge $8 for a bomber of Munsterfest and $4 for a bomber of Zombie Dust!
