I've given 18th Street plenty of business and I can confirm some of this.

Dont sit outside or you'll wait forever for a beer or to even have your order taken. It's like they dont have a system for their servers because I've had my drink order taken by a different server after one server already took my order.

Another time they brought me the wrong beer.. told me to keep it and brought me the correct beer too. And charged me for both.

The food is ambitious and tries to replicate what FFF does on some of the more elaborate dishes but sometimes come out bland. The pressed pork belly was flavorless.

My girlfriend asked for extra sauce on her tacos (the tacos were already a replacement order when her first dish was no good). So they bring the tacos.. not only did they not bring extra salsa.. the tacos didnt even have one drop of salsa on them at all. So my girl says "I asked for extra sauce and these have none." The waiter then told her they would have to make some sauce because they didnt have any ready. She didnt know they were out of sauce when we first ordered tacos?

Overall the beer is good and many of the simpler food items are very nice but the organization in Hammond is a disaster.

Never had issues sitting inside but sitting outside has been a failure on more than one occasion

Probably going to hit this up on Fri night, only did Windmill Fri night last year, but need to get some variety. Also perhaps Hailstorm on the way up (Stratus is so good right now, would be awesome if they still had it then and if it tasted same).

I’ll give whatever he is giving, plus a cellar aged 3 year old coors light.

I've often thought of bringing some cans of Big Flats 1901 to the sampling tent and putting them down.

For that price you'd have to shotgun it in front of me...

Are you bringing a glass cutter? Come on, this is crazy. How do you shotgun a bottle? This is a serious thread. Please only offer serious suggestions.

You place a straw in the bottle and bend it back to vent it. Rookie.

Bendy straws work best or Twizzlers.

A “straw-ventilated rapidchug” is not, and will never be, a shotgun.

An SvRC can be aborted if the undertaker is weak, with no damage to the vessel or lost product.

A shotgun either ends in glory or messy, unsalvageable abasement.

Not to mention the ritual rending of aluminum, lending a pomp and circumstance to the shotgun.

But what’s the point? A proletariat rapidchugger like you would never get it.
