Yeah I was really interested and he sent me a pic of the bottom of the can. I was a little shocked by the date.

Well, using TG as an example, I'm excited if we'll potentially be seeing M-43 (fresh) in Chicago at some point. And if I'm using TG as an example, I suppose that point is 2 years from now, but it's a start.

Not to be that guy, but it is "Boat Socks."

This is an important distinction since Begyle makes a beer called "Boat Shoes."

Now if we can just get Maplewood to make a Boat Pants my summer beer outfit will be complete...

I don’t know, I feel like there is an Alchemist-style opportunity to expand the nautical sartorial line with “Floaties.”

It was at BP yesterday when I swung by. As was a lot of other shit, including Mellotron, Stratus (well, at least one 4-pack) and the extremely inexpensive Prairie Bomb 4-packs.

Hoe inexpensive, or was that sarcasm?

It was sarcasm. BP had them for what I understand is a little bit of a markup: $42 (I think). I think anything over ~ $35 is a bit much, but I'm also not a Bomb! fan.

I love Bomb (despite it being very batchy), but I just can't see the point of this experiment. It is super gimmicky (sort of like thr Prairie Dawg barrel purchase), and I would have only bought in at less than $30.

    Thanks for the response.

Had a can of boat socks last night; my palate was a little messed up, but I'm definitely a fan.

i think boat socks is a real treat. Its even got a little more carb that the recent batches of stratus, and the southern hemisphere hops are just huge on it

Baking soda, rain water, cloying caramel & grapefruit rind.

A truly awful beer, and one that makes me think they have no idea what a "New England IPA" is supposed to be.

Source: the can I fought tooth & nail to get down 6 oz of before drain-pouring.

Message for douchelords: yes, I let it warm up.
