    Short's Cake is the only fruit ale I've found that improves with age. It gets less tart and much more jammy.

    Definitely still lacking in the things I like.

    Evil Twin/Lervig Big Ass Money Stout.

    Dear God, I thought I was conditioned to chocolate/coffee based booze bombs but even taking small sips, it was all I could do to keep from a major coughing jag from the 17.2% heat. Once used to it, it's a very tasty sipper. And great to listen to music with.

    Well BeerAdvocate brothers and sisters I turn 60 in 2 hours and 50 minutes. I am watching Star Treck re-runs during a total cluster ice storm and just enjoyed a 2015 Bourbon County and am working on my last 2016 KBS. Me thinks I will pick out 1 more movie and find something else in the basement to enjoy. What the heck. How many times do you turn 60 during a raging storm in April with a shit ton of world class beer to choose from :stuck_out_tongue:. I must say that I have much to be thankful for and am just glad to be here.

    Can't say I have a trend going tonight, but this is my second NY beer with German musical accompaniment this evening...but the night is still young...



    ...wish I still had my Billingsgate vinyl release of this album from back in the early 70s...the years were not kind to it...

    It pains me to say that this Veil beer, the the third lager tonight, is not my favorite. This one is "worse" than the last one.

    Here is hoping I can get some Veil and /or Triple Crossing IPAs next week.

    Back after eating an obscene amount of BBQ at Sugarfire. Breaking into some good stuff. Crooked Stave is consistently good. Lots of peach and a touch of oak.
