Why doesn't Mikkeller distribute to Minnesota?

    Seems like all of the surrounding states have Mikkeller bottles/cans. Why is Minnesota the hold out?

    ^^ this guy gets it.

    My guess, they were here years ago and a lot of the product sat on shelves. People didn't seem to like the idea of paying $4.50+ for a 12oz bottle of some of the best beers in market.

    Does Shelton Brothers distribute in Minnesota at all? If not, there is your answer. Besides, with very few exceptions, Mikkeller beers are overpriced and underwhelming

    Shelton Brothers pulled out of Minnesota. The only way we can get any of those brands now is if the brewery goes around Shelton Brothers and uses a different distributor for Minnesota specifically (like Prairie).

    Shelton Brothers used to distribute with Chisago, Chisago was bought by JJ Taylor and Shelton refused to work with them.

    Then Brad the beer guy (who set up that partnership with Chisago) went to Johnson brothers, and last I heard is gone from there.

    But mostly cause the shelton brothers guys are pains in the ass :slight_smile:

    Yep on all of those points. For what it’s worth, Beerguy Brad is now with Utepils.
