Although I understand the rationale for moving it down three weeks on the calendar, it was nice having it always known as the last Saturday in April. This year it looks delightful. Fifty-five with clear, sunny skies.

Actually they are making changes but they are so tiny you are likely not noticing them. Just look closer...closer...

Holy shit, this is where I hear this news first, as a joke? My mind is reeling in an internet paradox.

Dia is a godawful disgusting mess of a beverage, so wretched and foul that I hesitate to grace it with the name "beer." In my foolish naivete, I was actually looking forward to it because I really don't mind scotch at all; in fact, I had high hopes from the aroma that was pure smoky peat..... and then I made the mistake of putting it in my mouth.

Words cannot do justice to how awful and unpleasant this experience was. The peat instantly gave way to waves of burnt rubber and acrid ash - used bandaids and essence of smelly sock flavors roiled through the body, and the sickening finish left a coating of this liquid nightmare all over my poor innocent tongue. I have no idea what black magic was cast upon this substance, but I would never in good conscience recommend it to anyone. It is worth nothing more than a token of ticker-fueled beer collecting mania. Do yourself a favor if you have one and either leave it on the shelf as a monument to the sheer hubris of FFF to release such an alcoholic abomination for public consumption, or immediately trade it to cash in on the idiocy of those who - like me - felt a compulsion to taste this horrible libation and will give up significantly better beers in order to do so.

There was weeping and gnashing of teeth as we all mourned the tragic end of the (comparatively) delicious base DL that had been so cruelly and unusually tortured by confinement in Ardbeg. We decided that the only way to appropriately dispose of this vile drink was to chug it; unfortunately, the Dark Lord himself must have realized what clever machinations we were using to clear it up, and one of our group upchucked instantly when this catastrophe hit his throat. As we cleaned up the vomit and proceeded to the campfire to burn the tasting cups that had held this unholy substance, a small voice echoed in all of our heads: never again... never again.

This was my Variant from last year. I tried all day to trade it for ChemTrail, Ronoldo, or DeMuerte. I asked probably 50 people and no one wanted to trade for it. I ranked all the Variants (Personal preferences) so I would remember when I was at the fest and not make drunk trades. I had Dia as my last one, so I was pretty bummed. Then when I got home and looked over the stash and reminisced about DLD, I noticed how rare Dia was and felt better. I was saving this for a special occasion, but keep hearing "It's pretty good." to the above "Worst Beer ever." I really don't know what to think.
