    Impromptu sampling. Happened to realize I have a collection of lagers and I love sampling.

    Didn't go blind. Just a true preference type of tasting. Some cheaper than others. Some other styles than others by a long shot. But a preference tasting is nice sometimes. One question. Do I like this beer? Yes or no.

    Only one new try. FW Lager. Others have been had countless times.

    There's a reason these are in my fridge.

    Both la cumbres have a sort of bready malty sort of flavor. Crafty flavors I guess you could say. FW follows suit. Solid gold has this sort of session IPA ibu bite on the initial swig. Lightish all around. Modelo and dos xx just kind of there. Hamm's definitely feels cheap or has a perceived cheap flavor.

    Overall. I think I'd stick with my Hamm's and even Modelo. Dos xx is less than a dollar per bottle. Founders is cheapish but so close to Hamm's. Fw is in the $9/ sixer range which is normal for almost all styles. Tough competition. La Cumbre is $10/4pk 16 oz cans.

    The higher prices craft is super nice upon first sip. But I just don't know. It's subtle flavor is almost not worth the extra money.

    Not sure I learned much without it being blind. But thought I'd share.
