    it was nitro there, it was decent, I think it will be better out of the bottle, there was Chocolate wake and cake variant, it was real good. They sold out of bottles around 7pm.

    Rich hot bourbon on the front and perfect level of maple sweetness on the back. Made it there when the limit was 2(and am fine with that) but I loved it enough that I would have maxed out had I arrived earlier.

    Just sat down with a Wake n Cake at Transient and damn this is probably one of the best BA stouts I’ve ever had.

    I stopped in earlier this afternoon too, and enjoyed Wake n Cake as well. I don't know about best BA stout I've ever had but definitely very good and a clear step above Kentuckley--fudgey with a strong maple presence, although the slightest bit hot on the finish. Was not impressed with the BA barleywine. The selection of bottled sours and canned Pales/IPAs was also impressive.

    Any issues / smooth sailing for pickup of Wake & Cake for IL members that re-upped for 2018 membership? I'm heading up this weekend, and paranoid me sees me driving three hours and then I get there and they look at me like I have a hole in my head. Damn I hate driving that far ...

    One of the most fascinating things in Chicago beer is related to Transient. Is their distro attracting customers to the taproom? Is is keeping Chicago guys like me away? Does it matter? Pretty interesting stuff
