I was hoping to see page four before I posted this. But since the glass is almost empty so in the spirit of WAYDN I decided to post it . Here is hoping it gets to page four.

Once not beer gets consumed cerain, albeit questionable, tunes can consume a soul.

Saw them in concert in Richmond. I think 1973 or 1974. Great concert but way too loud. I think the night started me on the road to near deafness. But would do it again in a heart beat.

Local bottle shop ordered too much and has this on sale for $5 a sixer and $15 a case. Can't beat that.

Riverwalk - Turbine Double IPA. On 1st taste, I thought it was past it's prime (no date available). After a few drinks, I felt a strong IBU twang, so now I'm not sure. Hops are prevalent front to back, malts are hidden. Slight lemon, prickly pine..medium carbonation. Not a bad beer, as the bitterness does not linger long.

Thought I’d give this a whirl. It’s my “hump day.” Not as chewy as I would like and more vanilla than anything else. It’s good but I’ve come to expect more from a Grimm stout. Definitely don’t taste the 10%.

Excellent IPA. Fantastic head retention/thick soapy lacing on the glass. Aromas and flavors of big lemon, orange, grapefruit, peach, pineapple, apricot, passion fruit, mango, melon, berry, citrus peel/rind, green pepper, and pine hops; with moderate toasted bread, light honeyed malts; and herbal, floral, grassy hop earthiness. Light-moderate pine, citrus peel/rind, herbal, grassy, peppery bitterness on the finish. Medium carbonation/body; balanced bready/grainy malts and sticky hops in the mouthfeel. SOme resins/rind, light-moderate increasing bitter dryness, no hop astringency. Very drinkable and not over aggressive, 6%. Chinook, Azacca, Galaxy, and Vic Secret hops. Really great balance between juicy, vibrant, dank, and earthy hop complexity; with a solid pale malt backbone, and minimal residual sweetness. I'd pick it up again. Need to revisit their Buzzsaw IPA sometime. They revamped the recipe recently when they started canning it. Says it has Mosaic, Citra, Simcoe now. 4.03

This was awesome! Decent head retention and minimal lacing as expected. Aromas and flavors of huge nutty dark roasted coffee, milk/dark chocolate, cocoa, caramel, vanilla, cream, toffee, fudge, brownie batter, spicy rye, and toasted dark/brown bread; with light notes of molasses, marshmallow, licorice, dark fruit, smoke, char, leather, and herbal hops. Very mild herbal/roast/char bitterness on the finish. Light carbonation and very full body; with a very creamy/silky/bready mouthfeel; light slickness, sticky hops, and chalky roast. Lightly increasing lingering hop/roast bitter dryness. Never cloying/acrid. Mildly increasing warmth of 13%. Dangerously smooth sipper. Amazingly rich and complex; with great balance of fruity/nutty coffee, vanilla, and dark/black/roast malts. Not overly sweet/heavy like some of the other dessert stouts I have had from them. 4.15
