Bruery 2018 RS/HS Allocations

I know that different people are sensitive to the fall off of coffee in beers. I'm finally at a point in my cellar where I'm starting to experience it. But honestly every coffee beer I've had has lasted at least a year with no effect. A good percentage are starting to suffer at two years. But we had a 2015 Mocha Wednesday recently and it was still fantastic. YMMV.

 

Yeah, it was actually as much so that I was diving in headfirst not knowing what the monthly allocations look like, and catching up on/ throwing $ at beers I never had access to that they had on the shelf like Train to Beersel, Filmishmish, Beauregarde, etc etc etc and figured I'd catch that one the next time 'round. By the time I realized a lot of people ITT thought it was quite good, they were cleaned out at the DC location. I'll survive, and I will get it next time, for sure.

 

Do a lot of people still attend the wax your own event?

 

I wish they had a remove the wax event.

 

I went last April becuase they had the Crowther sale at the new warehouse on Crowther st. and they were selling vintage bottles at 30-50% off, and I always wanted to wax a bottle. They had 4 year old bottles of Rueuze for $10. I don't think I would go back to wax bottles again, however. They did it in the tasting room this year so Im guessing turnouts are lower than previous years.

I haven’t been to one the four years I’ve been in the societies so I was just wondering. But I’m sure the sale on beers were great. Wish we’d see more old stuff show up that we blew though of what we been cellaring

 

When will there be more details about the anniversary party? The event is less than 2 weeks away!

 

Same, I bought small handfulls of ToD, SitR, Sans Pagai. Great prices. It seems like they are having their discounted sales online now, just like the current sale going on right now. They call it a flash sale. Right now it seems they have a bunch of sours for 25% off.

 

"Drink fresh" is just a CYA for them in case of infection so they don't have to refund us.

 

Anyone have any idea when we might hear about whether we are getting a second Hoarders Small Batch set?

 

Last year, I believe the draft list was posted 4-5 days before the party.

 

In the email I think they said that when the sales close they'll see what they have left.

Wait, that wasn’t sarcasm? I’m pretty sure that was sarcasm.

 

Anyone know why we haven’t seen any chron 18 (porter) go on sale again or public like 6 and 12? Missed the sale and would love some bottles.

 

Finally got my 250+ bottles from the end of last year. Starting to get through them and damn, Train to Beersel is absolutely fantastic. Like a drier, oakier version of Rueuze. Worth the wait for sure.
