I get a lot of that in it myself, but I can see what you're saying.

It's not EXACTLY like Juju, but I think that the fruit characteristics are strong

I’m just being a jerk. Actually, Nugget Nectar is the most dissimilar; the others at least have a fairly strong hop presence. Juju is just way better than the rest, imo.

Another vote for Noble Creature. Really nice atmosphere and solid beers! Better yet, the owners are pleasant welcoming people who care about what they serve.

Their Chelsette and Thin Lips on Fruit were both quite satisfying.

I've been pumped for this one for a while, since they announced it. I had their collaboration with Jackalope called Phone-A-Friend that was a pretty solid APA. They are also doing their Sensorium Series release on Saturday, which is an IPA and a Berliner Weiss that complement eachother.

I tried Phone-A-Friend on tap last weekend at MadTree. I thought it was good.

I'm wondering how much of a clusterf*ck the Sensorium release will be. Not sure if I'm going or not... don't really care for huge crowds at beer releases anymore.

Honestly, it's a crap shoot. MadTree doesn't really do big releases, so on one hand I'm concerned, on the other, I'm not.

They have 100 cases of each, with a 3 4 pack limit per person, so that's 200 allotments.

I also don't usually do big releases anymore, not worth my time, but I need to be over by MadTree at 11:30 anyways, so easy for me.

Saturday May 12 The Bottlehouse will celebrate its six year anniversary with the release of these bottles:

Rex Auri - BA Imperial Brett Ale
Vox Maris - BA Sour Strong Belgian w/Cherries
Piña - BA Sour Pineapple Saison
Olde Toby - BA Olde Ale w/Brett
Obsessive Compulsive Vampire - BA Sour Blackberry Stout
Idol - BA Sour Apricot Ale w/Orange Zest

Two new bottled meads will also be available. I had to type this by hand because the Facebook link wouldn't work and their regular website hasn't been updated in over a year.

Least hyped release in the area and EASILY the one I'm most excited about.

Do you know if the celebration is at Lakewood too? Not too interested in the bottles but wouldn’t mind trying a few things on tap

As far as I know, just Heights. I know Lakewood has OC Vampire on and possibly Pina still. Not sure if they'll have any of the other new ones on Sat. That Vampire was the big surprise for me. I've have quite a few "sour stouts" and this is nothing like them. The berry is just perfect in it.

I'll still steer clear of that one. Sour stouts are gross to my tastebuds. Bummed there won't be anything going on in Lakewood, but I understand it's not easy to do at 2 different sites.
