I would hit FR, Half Acre, and Corridor. Eris is a nice change of pace as well.

Sometime in the past 8 years they made the decision to go from super cheap macro, ultra hip dive bar bordering on being condemned to craft beer focused "lets fix up the place before we get evicted for safety violations" gem.... Perhaps when they went to "Bar and Grill" from "Alcohol Abuse Center"....

I can't make it in until Saturday but I can't wait to try this new batch of Radio Swan.

I’d check out the goose island taproom also. It’s about a half mile south of forbidden root. The tap list is online. Sometimes it’s great, sometimes it’s meh, but Friday is usually your best bet for something decent, and either way, you’re close by.

They currently have Bourbon County and Braissere Noir, which is basically BCS in red wine barrels.

They also have islay. Which is the scrapped prop in scotch barrels. If you like scotch its a must have. I love it.

I feel like that should be the new line these are release under and scrap The Cooper Series. You have the fall line-up of premium stouts which is the BCBS line and then the lesser tier that comes out throughout the year could be called "Basically BCS" line which would have the Islay, Brasserie Noir, Brassierie Blancs, etc.

Not your worse idea. It would be less confusing. Like. Throw them in 4 packs. Charge 16-20$. Get a little weird with the adjuncts and barrels.

Agree overall, but I don't think they should call Brasserie Blanc basically BCS...

They should call it the princess series and name it after the straight to video sequels. Return of Jafar, Return to Sea, Belle's Magical World, etc.

    Isn’t brasserie blanc a golden ale or something? I don’t think it’s a stout.

Great visit and drafts yesterday! It's a ridiculous deal at lunchtime: $7 for three 5oz pours?!? Some breweries in the area charge $5-$7 for a 5oz pour.
Got my Radio Swan cans to share with the neighbors too. (yes, they admire my cans...)

Well I've been going there probably for the past 3-4 years on the reg and they have very good bar food on top of their stellar tap list

Just stopped by for dinner with my wife. We loved the new risotto dish. That sauce is great.

Tried all the new beers. Radio swan is tasting fantastic. Breeze and chatel are both real solid beers. I was not a huge fan of wagon wheel. It just didn't do it for me.

Hit up Forbidden Root yesterday. This batch of Radio Swan is absolutely killer and tops the last batches of Atomic, Ghost, and Snoochie in my opinion. Incredible aroma, really tropical some slight dankness, super creamy, 100% hits the spot.

The new lager, Bier Flavored Beer is also really awesome.
