Me neither. Here is the recently released Galaxy & Mosaic. Opaque. Zero sediment upon pouring into the glass. The beer was canned 11/17. This picture is from 11/21. We'll see what drops out if anything at all.

Do you know when the new yeast will be used? Was there yesterday and the NE was just missing that juiciness the more standard NE yeast bring -- was this s-05? Will they also revisit the water profile - particularly the chloride/sulfate ratio? It tasted more along the lines of a regular pale ale - with a haze and decent mouth feel from the oats.

Definitely a lot of potential there though.

Sorry, just saw this post, was busy with the holiday times shitshow!

We have been using our house yeast - a blend of Nottingham and Chico(s-05) - which is what we’ve been using on all of our IPA / Pales, we will be switching over to wyeast 1318 for our batch in March, and then also be dabbling with some lupulin powder around the same down, to cut out any pronounced grassy / veg flavors. As for the water profile, it’s adjusted depending on the hops / grain bills we are using, as each batch is indeed a separate recipe.

Also we have been dabbling a bit in milkshake variants (added lactose, vanilla, fruit purée some also on nitro) which have been tasting phenomenal. These have been sixtel one offs, look for them popping at the tasting room and at events from time to time. Cloverleaf NJBC Party 1/16 for instance we will have our new Mosaic Simcoe with lactose, vanilla and Passionfruit / Mango purée.

Speaking of this, March will most likely see the release of a very tasty new Nitro can...

    Love,
    Uncle Mark

good stuff, thank you for the update. I know some of the nitro beers have been really dope. I was a big fan of the strawberry cream and orange cream ales that were on nitro last summer. So definitely looking forward to more "shake" versions.

Stopped in there today for the second day of their Stout Fest, there were 24 different stouts on when I arrived. The Caramel Macchiato was really good, a little bit like Southern Tier's Salted Caramel, but a smoother beer. The Chocolate and Chili was pretty tasty too. I hope at least one of these 2 dozen stouts gets into distribution.

I had a bottle of their Belgian Quadrupel Unholy Ritual a few weeks back (picked up at my local Gary's) and was pretty impressed.

Cross-posting this from a thread on American quads in the Beer Talk forum: I had my bottle of Unholy Ritual a few nights ago and really enjoyed it as well. Lots of raisin and caramel but the alcohol was very well-hidden. Very rich and sweet, yet soft and easy to drink at the same time. Really enjoyable to have a locally made and straightforward quad.

This Brewery is too good not to have any posts in over 2 months. I stopped by last Saturday and was able to pick up both the Deep Sea Series Milkshake cans and the Tropics NEIPA and both were excellent. The Milkshake is on par with the few Tired Hands Milkshake beers I have had and the Tropics NEIPA was also very tasty and a great representation of the style.
I know Matt would rather be brewing Kolsch's and more traditional styles but these beers are proof they can put out great beers in any style if they want to. Great outdoor courtyard and very neat space also. Hackettstown is a hike for me but I definitely will be making the trek out there for some of these special can releases and to have a flight in the courtyard over the summer.

aside from the milkshakes - their beers are readily available retail... current release is in all bottle kings, gary's, wegmans, etc...

I really liked the tap room, but found the beers to just be solid but unremarkable... haven't tried any of the newer NEIPA's, but the one I did was no impressive. sounds like they've been dialing in the style, so will have to revisit.

Anybody here go to their HopFest on Saturday? I went last year and it was pretty fun. Just wondering how the hoppy beers were.

Never heard of this place and we don’t get it in PA. While looking for 077XX and the beer guy was unboxing their stouts ... ended up buying their bourbon barrel aged Brontes ($17). They also had a wine as well as rum barrel aged variants.

I usually don’t buy stuff on a whim, but beer guy seemed to know his stuff so I took a chance.

Anyone know if it’s any good? Only asking to see if it’s worth aging for a year or two.
