Homebrew barleywine at five months. The rest of the batch should be in good shape for warding off next winter's chilly nights. Cheers!

Stone makes too many ipas, but I'll admit they've been good recently

    Peak - Spring IPA
Very good tasting IPA (NE style) session! Smooth, lightly carbed and fruity/tropical. Wish I had bought more than 1.

Back home from my sister’s 35th birthday celebration. She bought these and did not like them. I gladly took them off her hands. Free beer. And it’s not bad.

I missed the first two innings of the Yankee game. 10 nil in the third. Looks like I missed a lot of action.

    Cheers and go Yanks.

My last of the demon series to rate from Avery. They don’t even brew this anymore:

Classic brew for me, remnants of San Diego times, catching waves during the day, crawling out of bars at night, only to head right back to the beach, now littered with ex lovers we watch the ocean tumble in darkness, always ending in a parked car outside my apartment on Lamont st, smoking a joint with the windows up, listening to 2am before I call it a day.

Welp, I reached my two beer limit for the week... see you next weekend boys. Cheers.

I made the “mistake” of aging one of these last year and after a side-by-side, the fresh one was the better one so I’m not aging this again. Really delicious. Bourbon covered brownie. After a pour of Oban 14 too, real quality.

Fantastic Belgian pale ale. Flavors of peach, mango, pineapple, apricot, grapefruit, tangerine, lemon zest, orange peel, pear, apple, pepper, clove, and light banana/bubblegum/pine; with balanced honey, biscuity malts; herbal, floral, grassy hops; and yeasty earthiness. Light-moderate peppery yeast spiciness; light pine/grassy bitterness, and yeast tang/tartness on the finish. Medium-plus carbonation, medium body, and moderately crisp finishing. Bready/grainy malts and some sticky hops in the mouthfeel. Light-moderate increasing spicy/carbonated dryness. Refreshingly drinkable, 6.8%. Wow, I will definitely be picking this up again. Awesome balance of juicy hop/yeast flavors; with a nice bready malt backbone. Spot on for the style, aside from the use of American hops. I am a huge fan of pretty much all of Revolution's beers, regardless of style.

To Øl 1 Ton Of...Blackcurrant. This is amazing! Aromas and flavors of big juicy/tart/tangy black currants, fruit skin, cherry, berries, lemon, raisin, plum, green apple, red grape/wine, hay, straw, herbal, and grass; with moderate wheat, bread dough malts; light leathery/musty funk, pepper, and yeasty earthiness. Light-moderate fruity/lactic tartness, fruit tang, and light yeast/fruit tannin spiciness on the finish. Medium carbonation and medium-plus body; balanced creamy/bready wheat, lactic acid, fruit tang, and light tannins/stickiness in the mouthfeel. Light-moderate increasing lactic/tangy fruit dryness, no pucker/astringency. Super drinkable, not overly lactic, 7%. Insanely jammy currants with balanced Brett/Lacto complexity; and a great bready malt backbone against acidity. Reminds me of Schramm's Black Agnes a lot. The currant presence is nearly the same level. I keep grabbing this one every week, worth the price. This brewery never disappoints.

Lapsed Catholic, hell...I'm a goddamn godless heathen (have been since the early 70s), yet sometimes going to church brings back interesting (and comforting) memories...

A tip of ye olde beer glass to the Bull King Stud of LARRRGE!!! (aka @TheIPAHunter) for this stunning elixir...
