$12.75 before tax too (there is no tax on alcohol in Massachusetts).

I like this thread because you know what I'm never doing again?

    Driving 2+ hours.
Standing in line for another hour or so.
Buying literally one style of beer -- okay maybe one is a double.
    Driving 2+ hours.
    Then drinking.

(I can't even imagine if I had to undertake the burdensome step of arranging all that haze bombs in a cool stack, find the right filter, put on social media, and furiously mastrbate while waiting for the likes and ISO's to rolllll in)

I hope you screenshot it for posterity. I can’t imagine it (or maybe even me) being there long.

Braupakt is wonderful. Only grabbed a 500ml like a dope.

something probably not popular on this forum, but Buzzards Bay Lizzie's Famous "81 Whacks" red IPA is a beer I look forward to each year. Just grabbed a bottle at Auclair's in Somerset. Good as ever.

I'm not sure of how rare or sought after this actually is this time around, but I noticed Atlas Liquors Medford has a few 4 packs and a bunch of 750s of KBS for anyone interested.

Yeah it's popping up on shelves all over. No longer is it a behind the counter, 1 bottle per person, sold out in a day beer.

I still like it. Lovely beer. $23+ Is a tough sell though with so many good competitors out there

Born Again Yesterday at various Total Wines. Smells awesome. Tastes pretty damn good. One of the best off the shelves 12packs at the moment.

Ah good to know. I had thought it dropped a while back and didn't realize it was just popping up now.

Agree on the price point. Regardless of the understandable added expense of barrel aging and such, $20 is just a really tough psychological barrier for me to break on a 4 pack.

    Apologies, I wasn't too clear.

It did show up in liquor stores about 3 weeks ago, but mostly behind the counter.

The demand seems to have been so low that it has now started to be placed on the shelves for all to see

The last few years, KBS has seemed to show up on MA shelves in two waves. Feels like a ploy by either Founders or the distributor to squeeze out as much hype and FOMO as possible for a beer that is clearly being produced adequately to meet demand these days.

Tap not shelves update: J. Wakefield / Other Half collab "Bye Bye Bye" is showing up around town. I had mine at Painted Burro in Davis (really impressive tap list there, actually) and I saw Untappd checkins at Lulu's at least.

Drinks more like a West Coast "Hazy IPA" than a typical NE IPA—reminded me of the stuff Modern Times was pouring when I was out there a couple of months ago. Super juicy to the point of being Tang-like. Also super sippable for 10%. I ordered two and regret nothing.

has anyone been to the new Wegmans in Natick?

Im a fan of the selection (and prices!) at the Chestnut hill locations but found that other wegmens locations have inferior selection in comparison

I'm somewhat confident that grocery chains have a limit as to how many of their stores can sell beer/liquor (it came to the popular vote a few years ago and my idiot Masshole compatriots voted to keep the law as is.) As such, I don't know whether Natick will be one of those outlets that has the liquor license.

Natick Wegmans definitely sells beer. Need to fill two floors with something.

Interesting, I have avoided Painted Burro for years because it was expensive, and the tap list was just ok. How's it compare to Five Horses' tap list?

Off topic, but I've avoided Painted Burrow ever since I paid like $12 for a margarita that came out of a damn tap.

Confirmed the Natick location sells beer, per communication from them. I plan on visiting this week, will report back  I like to think that with Total Wine right across the street, the two will keep each other honest.
