My dude had 1554 on draft at his crib tonight.... dayum if that’s not one of the best beers in town!

I’m pretty sure it’s(1554) the best beer you can get at the Pepsi Center. At least that was the case a few years back. I always enjoyed 1 or 2 while watching the Pens when they were in town.

1554 is a damn good beer and I like that it's starting to show up in more places. Fat Tire handles seem to be disappearing, but more places are carrying 1554. I'll take that trade-off and I'm still a Fat Tire fan.

Generally my 'go to' if I want lager without having to think through the options. Mountain trips, tailgating, backyard parties, etc.

A couple of bars here have it on draught. Almost a go to when I'm in one of them. Tasty stuff!

Odell Lager is pretty fantastic. Slightly toasty, softer hops, and chuggable. It's the tits.

    I'll second that. It's a perfect lager.

Bierstadt just put a rice lager on a few days ago. I've never had or even heard of that style before but, like with all of Bierstadt's beers, it's crushable and amazing.

It's tasty. They brewed it for the St Louis Lagerfest that's happening next weekend. The theme is historical lagers. I think the recipe for the beer is from 1912 (or some year during that decade)

While not a CO lager, the Bull & Bush has St. Georgen Buttenheim Kellerbier on tap right now. Pretty fresh tasting, too.

If you're curious about what a typical Franconian beer tastes like, that's a fine example.

Thank you for taking our lagers for a spin!

Lightshine Helles just won Grand Gold (!) at a German beer competition (Frankfurt International Trophy) and Volksbier Vienna (draft only) snagged a silver.

We’ve only been in the larger Denver metro area for about a month now and have enjoyed the reception. Other Denver area folks looking to try: our beer finder is pretty accurate, especially for the liquor stores. Please let me know if I can help track anything down!

Cinco de Mayo is this weekend. There should be a bunch of places doing Mexican lagers on Saturday. Old Chicago has a whole bunch of 'em on tap right now, too.

Comrade Brewing is tapping Mexican Lager this Saturday. Brewed with 6-row barley malt, flaked corn and lightly hopped with German Hersbrucker. Lagered for over 9 weeks. 4.8% ABV

Cruised right through a sixer of them this weekend.

Not surprisingly, this makes Old Aggie look like a complete idiot. I can easily see this becoming the gold standard of American craft lagers. Great, rich bready flavor and a nice body.
