Home today with the little dude who is sick. Got my students standardized test scores back yesterday and they rocked! So this school year is pretty much winding down. Time to relax and celebrate a little when the house is quiet. Had a great workout when grandpa was babysitting during nap time. Been craving a classic IPA and this nailed it. $1.79 well spent for this single canned back at the end of March.

Lacks in the nose department but delivers on taste despite being a little old in the tooth.

This beer lives up to the hype and then some! Absolutely delicious! If Galaxy hops are your thing. You’ll love this beer!

Canned this morning. Collab with RAR and Magnify. Calypso and Ekuanot hops with lactose and vanilla. Not quite a “milkshake” but it is really tasty.

Right! The can is definitely better than the beer inside.
Agree! Average beer from an excellent can!

@superspak sent me this treat from Rochester Mills.

This one foamed up pretty good when I cracked the can. It has an amazing nose, notes of succulent chocolate, licorice, bourbon, tea, and oak all invade the nose powerfully. The flavor though...it's not quite up to par. I get an assortment of flavors - some good, some not so good. It starts off with some sour oaky flavors, and moves to burnt chocolate cookie and caramel, with hints of wet wood and metallic sea water. Slight blackberry, and amazingly the tea as well. The finish is kind of herbal, reminding me of herb-dusted fish. There's also some lingering roast malts and burnt cookie on the back end as well. The beer wells up in the mouth creating a mild foam and dries with a hot booziness and alcoholic sting. Overall I rated it a 3.85 out of 5. It's ok, but nothing I'd be shelf-searching for.

    Cheers!

Sorry to hear it, the lay-off I mean. Sounds like you have some good compensation on deck!
