Her last post that I remember is that she had sent her target a BM and explained she was waiting for a trip to vermont to send. But that was a at least 2 weeks ago.

LOL did not realize you were one... you can joke all you want.

Hope all is well, Here in FL a Cat 1 Hurricane is business as usual, but up there dam!!!! I think NYC would be completely gone if it were a cat 3-4 or 5.

I was trying to guess the sender's location from the beer list and that Ry(e)an Ale threw me for a loop! It's brewed exclusively for a big MA liquor store, but there are PA beers/swag, not to mention CT, NY, and NJ. NYC as per his profile page makes sense (and is just under 200 miles from the liquor store in MA), but he must have made a New England beer pilgrimage at some point!

NYC is VERY lucky that this storm hit so late in the season. Had it been mid summer with warmer water to generate strength from it would have been a wrap for the City. A storm surge much larger than the one that hit the City and surrounding areas would have brought the entire city to its knees. many parking garages, buildings and mass transit systems were flooded throughout lower Manhattan and Brooklyn. I can only imagine what would have happened if the water made it even further into the City and other boroughs.

My Aunt and Uncle live in Seaford on Long Island on a canal, they have a boat in there driveway (that is not on a trailer) and there are 4 large boats blocking the street. O and the basement is flooded so no heat or power. Sucks bad.

Sorry to hear this Gene. Hopefully they can get their life back in order soon.

On a lighter note...there are 2 boxes on a UPS truck out for delivery with your name on them!
