I remember the time I took my wife to DLD. To this day she refers to it as “Line Day,” but we did spend 4 hrs in line to get into the brewpub.

 

Yes, I’m not sure exactly who’s coming with me yet, so I just put my name on both. Also since they said “Wristbands are associated with the name of the person who purchased the tickets on eTix. The name associated with the wristband must match the name on your ID. If you purchased two tickets, your name will be associated with both wristbands” I wasn’t sure if they expected us to do it that way anyway.

My solution to this? Bring my wife along.

My wife came with me last year and we waiting around all day to get our group E allotment. She is not a fan of crowds or waiting around so she was quite happy when I scored group A this year. Her festival time will likely be limited to getting our allotment after which, she'll head back to the hotel to relax.

I had a friend at DLD one year get so drunk he forgot the pass code to unlock his phone. I think some people are gonna have fun trying to remember their PINs.

 

The wristband tent might get overrun with mid-day drunkenness.

 

i'll write the pin on the hand of the wristband. problem solved.

Hence the value of the finger print unlock on older iPhones and Face ID on the iPhone X. Regarding the wristband PIN, one could change their phone lock screen to show it.

 

since it's a single use PIN, make it something you won't forget like the year you were born or the last 4 digits of your phone number.

 

Speaking of tents, I have yet to receive a reply to my email inquiring about the hip hop tent. I guess I’m just going to have to bring a tent and a Bluetooth speaker just in case.
