    Hi all,

Sorry if there's an obvious answer ... what are good Canadian Quads? I can't think of any. I'd like to have a good one without spending import dollars.

The one that comes to mind is DDC Rigor Mortis. I also had an Alley Kat Quad last month which was pretty tasty.

I've heard rumors that Brasseurs du Monde is going to release a full line of their L'Assoiffe (http://beeradvocate.com/beer/profile/25775/74278) at some point. They currently have the dubbel and the tripel, and they should eventually release the quad and the light blond ale (6, 8, 10, 12)

If a Canadian brewery can supply the same size bottle and quality of beer as a Rochefort 10 for less money, I think I'd be wondering what they did to make it so cheap.

That's not really that big of an issue when you have the off-set of producing a Quad in volume enough to ship it across the world. The cost savings in buying sugar by the truckload probably helps. There's probably only a few Quebec brewers who do that regularly.

For my buck, I enjoy the hell out of the Abbaye Des Rocs Grand Cru - and bonus, it's all malt, too.

At one point we were thinking of doing business with Brasserie Des Roc but the amount of spicing they use and the amount of gelatine in their beers scared us away. Back to Canada thought Le Terrible was brewed again, not that I have had one in long time but I remember it being a good quad.

Way too much corriander for my tastes, I have never liked this beer.

In the MLCC as we we speak at $6.61 a bottle. That's a freaking steal and a half!
