    those jelly pint pots but IPA
    sweet but good
    might finish night with St. Austell big job that I thought wasn't bottle conditioned when reviewed

    I was a bit disappointed with Shapeshifter when I had it in a pub recently, they've reduced the abv and presumably tweaked the recipe so it's nothing like the 6.4% tropical fruit bomb it first was.

    I have a day off so thought I'd spend it wisely, in other words get on the beer early. currently trying the Guinness citra IPA . It's not terrible but that's about the best I can say about it. Like a 5% shandy. Also picked up their pilsner, will try that later this is week I think

    Pilsner was worse, even really fresh it isn't worth the £1 a bottle. Guinness really are awful at non porter type beers aren't they? Much rather have those French stubbies for cheap pishwater

    Zimbo sent me an old Cocoa Psycho that was a real chocolatey boozy treat
    I tweeted Brewdog the batch number, curious to know when it was brewed
    & they very helpfully ignored my tweet.

    Zimbo is in good health but has the terrible ordeal of an overflowing beer celar

    Yesterday went to beer nouveau in Manchester some interesting beers despite being out on the arse end of Manchester to get to. Salacia stout, 1916 barley wine and a pizza inspired beer. Then went to another bar in town doing a sour beer event the highlights being tilquin gueuze and siren craft limoncello. Then when I got home had a cloudwater Dipa v3.1. Excellent beer.

    Drygate Chimera IPL ~ nice (see In Bed with Madonna)
    & Torrside Monsters Take me to Your Lemur ~ dark sweet vanilla magick

    cooking a roast for Sunday supper (to hot for lunch)
    will be swigging Cuntden Inner city green lager
    ThWAiTeS Pale ale
    Crabbie's IPA
    Savour Saison
    then gotta choose between Struisse Pannepot or Tempest Mexicake

    Drinking a can of Camden Town Brewery Inner city green lager. A barely adequate beer but encapsulates everything I hate about Camden Town, away from the true alternatives those empty posers with little substance, no backbone, no soul, no principles but with some pretty trinkets.

    Back in Manchester today, had the 8 bit ipa at brewdog and they had some beers on from little earth project which were good a crab apple saison and bourbon barrel blackberry saison. Then went to ply and had pizza and more sour beers from kernel, boon and dogfish head then to a lervig tap takeover at port street beer house. Had bourbon barrel toasted maple stout and hazy days pale.
