Really enjoying Fader after a long day of yardwork. Going down quick and easy.

 

Agreed. I had my first Fader at Logan Theatre yesterday. I was blown away. One of the best German style pilsners I've had this country in a while. I hope to be drinking cans of this all summer.

 

Sorry to be that guy, but did you mean this Friday, the 4th, or next Friday, the 11th? All I could find from a quick scan of the Google and HA site is that GDDC is typically available in May and that it was released last year on May 5. TIA.

 

Half Acre guy told me that it would be released this coming Friday so I assume the 4th.

I love feedback like this. So many review aggregate sites are dictated by trends and hype - nice to hear about exemplars of styles that don’t command “5/5 - I could taste the cake/is this juice?”

 

I'm intrigued by Plus Ultra and surprised nobody has mentioned it. If anyone tries it please report back!

Yeah, same thing with Dovetail. Untappd has almost all their beers at sub 4 stars, yet they get mounds of praise for their German beers.

 

It's very good...similar to Move Through the Hills...very light and crisp with a very nice sour quality to it.

 

Ohh how quickly times change. Was 3 years ago that people lined up around the corner for multiple blocks awaiting the GDDC release.

 

They put it in 4 packs then, obviously the consumers want large format!

 

If we're gushing over lagers, Know Place hits the spot for me. The can art is almost as great as the beer. I feel like I'm kicking back on my imaginary back porch, after mowing my imaginary lawn, getting ready to play catch with my imaginary son; while drinking this thing. Its that good.

Have to echo this. Know Place is probably my new fav from HA. What a great balanced beer. Enjoying it outside and loving the art work as well. Cheers, boys n girls!

 

I'm not the biggest Half Acre fan, but I love the artwork they use.

It's always a pleasure to look at their stuff, and I look forward to seeing new designs as new beers come out.
