Damn, was going to go and have some beers at Mumford today, but dont want to deal with the crowds for the can release. Does it get bad at all if I'm there a few hours after the release? Dont really care about the cans, really just want to sit and have a few beers.

I've never had issues grabbing some beer on a can release day. It may be a bit more crowded than usual but nothing too difficult.

It's not crazy at all. Lots of seating space. Line is super short, but moving a bit slow.

It was packed but very manageable and easy. I don't believe any brewery in LA has a insane can release experience like Monkish does- that's a whole different category

Well, it also doesn't help that Monkish's tasting room is a bit more cozy than some of the other joints in L.A.

Just had one. That beer is super tasty. Looks and tastes close to a Monkish beer

Extremely impressed with this beer, can't believe what I paid for it (25.99). What did you pay?

I'm starting to nudge Mumford above HPB in the haze game. And I'm talking strickly haze here not pound for pound which HBP is more than likely victorious over the two. But haze wise in LA, to me it goes:

    1. Monkish
    2. Modern Times
    3. Mumford
    4. HPB
    5. Mikkeller, Brouwerji West, Beachwood, State

$25.99?! That's some markup. It's still $20 at the brewery. I do think it is one of the better hazies from them.

Also, I'm okay with this new Brut IPA thing. Mumford's (Style Migration) is my first experience with the style but I thought it was really good. It seems that it's not for everyone but it's a nice change up from all the creamy, hazy beers.
