Might not have made it out of Austin in large amounts just yet. I see it at Sunrise Mini-Mart here in Austin every time I go in there....

Thanks. We spent a lot of time fine tuning the new Commercial Suicide recipe, so we're glad you like it. It took a lot of test batches before we were happy with the malt character, yeast flavors and mouthfeel. We also tried a fair number of varieties of oak before we settled on medium toast plus, American white oak.

so from what ive gathered, only commercial suicide has made its way into houston? das wunderkind is in austin and Gotslandricka is in chicago?

did i get that right?

 

Curious about the Wunderkind bottle I picked up today. The label looks slightly different than I remember but can't find the "certified organic" tag on it. Is this a new batch or just some Das that was hanging out around the brewery. The ABV on the original batch was 4.2% I believe and the bottle I grabbed today says 4.5%. I know there was a new batch in the brewery plans from what I've heard but just looking for some clarification on the cases that Sunrise got today...

 

Anyone spot Das in South Austin? I really don't wanna have to fight traffic up to Sunrise in order to get some.

 

Just checked my 2 original bottles of Das that I have left. Both say 4.5%. However, the new ones should have the big Organic label on it. If not, you probably bought an old bottle, not a new one.

Much like Boxers last batch, JK might have had a few hundred of the old labels to burn through before the new organic ones get used

 

That's what I'm thinking...I remember them saying something about using up old labels in the past. I can't imagine they dropped 3 old cases on Sunrise out of the blue and passed them off as new product.

 

Where did people pick up Gotlandsdricka bottles?

I picked up CS and DW at Sunrise yesterday.

 

Anyone still seeing Gotlandsdricka in Austin? Been at some HEBs, Whole Foods and Central Market North. No luck.

 

jk distributor told me they should be getting some gotlandsdricka and funk metal by the end of this week or early nxt week
