    [​IMG] Starting with a little juice this morning thanks to @jzeilinger for this ripe can from Burleyoak Brewing Lost IPA. Poured into a 13 oz Weyerbacher tulip giving to me from JZ also, first of many he has sent me over the last 2 years. This pours a very hazy orange yellow with a billowy white head that leaves massive patches of lace, with excellent retention. 4.5

    Smell is loaded with ripe tropical fruit, apricot, guava, mandarin orange, pineapple, honey dew, and a gentle hit of grapefruit. 4.25

    Taste follows tropical front to back, mellon, apricot, and guava most prominent, with a little grapefruit bitterness in the slightly sticky finish. 4.25

    Mouthfeel is bigger than average, plenty of life but fairly soft, not dry but juicy, and extremely drinkable at 7.2%. 4.75

    Overall this is outstanding I would drink this often if I had access. Cheers all. 4.25

    Something a bit sharp this morning . . .

    Taste on entry is a firm hoppiness that's not as citrusy as the nose implies, rather a more traditional IPA hopping that quickly gives way to a gentle, rounded flavor that is somewhat juice like. I don't think I'm giving full credit for the range of flavors here, there's quite a bit, because the whole is so seamlessly joined I can't quite pick out where one leaves off and the other starts.

    Excellent NE style Pale Ale with a superb mouthfeel that delivers an incredibly juicy hop punch at a mere 4.5% ABV. Body may be a little light, but that's to be expected at the ABV. Fantastic session beer that's very similar to Tree House Lights Out, but even better, in my opinion.

    Something crisp and light today... a little sore from the gravel shovel work yesterday but the results aren't half bad.
