It's all about quality awesome beer... as long as they continue producing the quality beer they do now i don't care who owns them

It isn't my opinion, GI is a macro brewery, take it or leave it.

Yes then and now ... they have been invited to ACBF again this year. If you disagree then that is your own personal definition of "craft beer" which is fine by me.

Do they meet the Brewers Association for "craft"?
    Absolutely not
Does this have even the slightest impact on whether I buy their beer?
    NO!

We can all talk in circles around the question depending on our definitions of "craft" (size? ownership? product? some kind of functional test based on other factors?), but I don't think the answer necessarily gets at anything meaningful. I don't think anyone is refusing to purchase Goose Island, if anyone is at all, because, e.g., their production went over six million barrels. Craft or not, I can respect people for appreciating their products, which tend to be good to great, just like I can respect people for not buying their products because they don't want to support AB.

FYI ... the Brewers Association definition of "Craft Brewer" is for their own statistical purposes only within their "guild". Why do you think it keeps on changing.

More like the 1/3 less production of it this year than last year... or just everyone's convictions. Pick your poison I suppose.

Personally I hate the whole "craft" term but we have to live with it for now ... is the beer good or not? "Craft" for me never meant "quality" or "good".
