Ohio State '97 here - we will rumble. I'm kidding, New Jersey has been very nice to Ohio State in terms of football and basketball recruiting over the years. It's also been nice having Schiano on the staff.

    trust me, we KNOW lol

on topic, Jackie O has a new Mandala (citra) coming out this week, brewed with the Conan yeast. sounds interesting if Jackie O gets in the haze game.

Kent. Their draft list is always killer, between hoof, magic city, and others.

Platform's Torrential Downpour, a strawberry milkshake IPA is actually pretty good. Got a can yesterday.

On the flip side Ultralite Beams was awful. couldn't finish it.

Aaaand then they had the oxidation issues that started popping up yesterday. Seems like they're handling it as well as they can with customer refunds, just wonder how many shit cans are out there with distro still going out as of today.

You mean an NEIPA isn't supposed to look like this?

This Jackie O's Mandala Citra is the real deal. They've been doing a lot of work with Hill Farmstead in Vermont, and this one actually uses the NE yeast strands. I'm excited going forward to see what Jackie O's does but their first canned hazy juice IPA knocks it out of the park for me.

Did Platform ever make an announcement about the oxidized Call Off the Dogs? Mine legitimately looked dark brown. I’ve heard some people have brought back cans for a refund, but I never saw them make an official post. Or maybe I just missed it?

From what I can tell, no post, but just commenting they'll take care of people who have issues.

Gotcha, I messaged them on Facebook a few days ago with a picture but haven’t heard anything back from them so I thought maybe I was missing a thread or something.

Made it out to dankhouse last week and was definitely impressed. I had super fantastic, chasing trees, and couch kush’n. I thought they were each very good, only criticism was the mineral finish on couch kush’n detracted a bit. I couldn’t believe how small there brew system was either. Hopefully they have the opertunity to expand quickly so maybe I can find them in Columbus and it won’t be such a brutal brew day for them to fill their fermenters. Thanks for the recommendation!

Anyone have the oxidized cans of Call off the Dogs from Platform? Just found out it's because they hooked the line up to compressed air instead of CO2. So they literally filled every can with oxygen.. lol.

    Lol that's amazing.

Now, where does the line start for their next IPA?

Jesus Christ. How people continue to give them money is beyond me.

I had a can of that last week and couldn’t finish it. If you like the super fruity, almost zero bitterness type, I would recommend it, but I have only had one Hill Farm ipa that I would say was anywhere in the same ballpark for me. That would be (my least favorite) Karma Emulsion. Except it had more of the sharp biting yeast.

I have had a few too, and most have been pretty good. I had the same finish experience with Couch too, but still really good overall. Think it has a really good aroma and is pretty dank. Close to an Alchemist beer. Reminded me of Crusher a bit.
