Dark Lord (2018)

Chase Healey at American Solera sent a message to his society group stating they withdrew from DLD a few weeks back. The reasoning was vague but the brewers were in Copenhagen for a beer festival last weekend so are probably stretched too thin on man-power or they decided to stay in Europe to brew some collaborations.

It would have been cool to get some Sons of Darkness on tap at DLD...

You know, this is how these polititcians ALWAYS do it. They sneak a big story right as everyone is distracted. "OH... look at the shiny Variants. Ignore the political stories... nothing to see here".

Yes, only the south entrance, however they start letting people into the first "staging" area at 6am and clearing security, which helps process the line through before the fest starts at 9am. Makes things way more smooth than in previous years.

 

I’m hoping the 9am Handjee tapping allows for an easier chance at grabbing a picnic table under the tent.

 

Damn last year I wasn’t able to go and the years before I remeber there being 2 entrances. Regardless, can’t wait!!

So since everyone now seems excited about the taps they share tent might actually be less crowded. Maybe even be able to sit down and have a proper share. Or not.

Personally, I’m not attempting to get a BA DL tap until the herd has seriously thinned if at all. I know how much you all love waiting in lines, I’ll pass.

Yeah, I totally have done that when I see a variant to bring some back to my group... never more than 2 though.

 

I think the max they let you get is 2 per trip per person.

This may be a silly question, but what is the water situation at DLD. Dont get me wrong, I will be bringing my own, and plenty, but I am just curious.

 

I definitely got 3 Ronaldo pours last year for the group I was with.

 

The new single entrance with the staging area worked great. Barely a line to get in unless you arrived around opening time.

There will be a couple of places that provide water bottles. Donations go towards the local animal shelter.
