I think the idea behind releasing the tapping schedule is to allow people to settle down and not rush all the variant lines. Now you know BADL will be pouring later so you don't have to die of crippling FOMO.

Whether or not that will actually work remains to be seen.

 

That makes sense to us rational people. However, there is that segment of neck beards that will be at every <insert highly coveted variant> tapping to see how many they can pound.

 

I ran out of water last year and they had IIRC, $1 water bottles for donations.

 

Yeah, seriously, if you're trying to go and get all these DL drafts, you're going to be FUCKED UP! I just pasted the list into Excel and removed all the ones I don't care about, and the remaining list is still a stupid amount of beer there's no way in hell I'll even buy a tenth of it.

Looking forward to the massive uptick in passed out neckbeards this year.

 

This was my first thought. I think everyone will be able to try an assortment of variants. You can only drink so many 15% beers before it all comes crashing down....

I wish. There's no way, though... there will be a secondary market on variant drafts at the festival. Dude buys 10 Handjees and walks around the grounds selling them for $20 a pop.

 

They haven't announced the water infusion variants yet....

 

Let's not give FFF anymore ideas for DL variant ingredients...

Any of the guest taps tweeted out yet?

 

I’ve definitely offered to buy someone’s drink at the front of the line in exchange for them ordering an extra when a cool guest beer or variant taps.

 

I think teamwork will be required to sample a large swath of the variants that will be tapped. For instance: At 10 AM, split up and get several variants (1 each). Then, meet back up and share. I plan on doing this because there is no way I'll be able to last drinking these by myself.

 

And sober people - my level of excitement and line commitment may quickly change after I’ve had a few...

Sadly no FFF jerky...

 

No deep fried chicken sandwich with Zombie Dust cheese sauce either!

 

How big are the pours again? It would be nice if they had vouchers for each variant where you could show up to a specified location and try ~2-3 oz of each. As people have said, 15% catches up with you really quickly...
