My thoughts after an evening and morning of reflection:

1) The food sounds awesome.
2) The release of variant tap times will create epic level shitshows
3) It's gonna be hot as fuck.
4) I had to google half of the variant list just like every year.
5) Rye will be awesome.
6) I hate scotch
7) Tequilla could be really good. PNC is a fantastic beer.
8) Where the fuck to they even find some of these barrels.

Keep in mind last DL'17 was really good right off the bat. Lots of vanilla, and easy drinking sweetness. That could play very interestingly with some of these odd variants.

 

Has there ever been a variant blowout extravaganza like this? I've only been the past two years but I get the feeling that FFF has taken this to a new level because for a festival of this magnitude, the '16 and '17 taps were weak in comparison.

Are you talking drafts or bottles? 2016 bottled variant list was pretty wild.

 

I made this in case anyone else wants to be able to try and plan tap visits:

 

2016 had 10 variants, this year has 11 so this is the most but 2016 was similar.

16 taps sucked because everyone stayed under the tent and the taps never rotated. Last year taps were decent, I think Ronaldo, Meurte, Handjee, Chemtrail all went on tap, but I agree that this tap list seems better.

 

I've learned two things from that video- (1) Don't wear a hat (2) I'm willing to bet my allocation I'm the fastest person at a beer fest.
