How do you get the first untappd check in for a new variant if you don't fly to the bottle line and immediately crack it open before others do?

 

While technically true it depends how they do it this year. If they put the totes on a table and let you choose their potentially may be an advantage, if they hand you the tote then there isn't.

 

There are no vintage.. so "picking" a tote doesn't really come into play.

 

I think this post may have been referring to the number of tappings, not the number of overall variants. It does seem like a lot more than last year, anyone out there that counted the tweets who knows about how many BA variants were tapped last year?

 

They tapped more than were tweeted, much more. Only a handfull were tweeted. Still, seems to be less tapped last year than will be this time.

The last 24 hours or so of this thread provided me much entertainment at work today.

Also, for whoever asked, I had the barrel aged Permanent Funeral last year on tap at DLD, wondering if this is the same stuff only another year aging on it. Was super barrel-rific last year, my bro couldn't even finish his, and I had to buckle down to finish mine. I wanna say it tapped around the same time, I just remember Goatwhore was doing their thing at the time and I had to tear myself away, hoping not to miss much to get the tap.

Was this a recent change? I always bring 4-6 frozen bottles of water and 2 gatorades, and now that isn't gonna fly apparently.

Your wristband and ID are a must; you need a valid passport or U.S. ID to enter the festival. Also OK: standard-size backpacks no larger than 10x10x16 and without wheels or frames. Up to 72 ounces of beer; must fit in your backpack. Two factory-sealed bottles of water. Bottled water available from Humane Indiana and other charities; donation suggested but not required.

 

2 gallon jugs or those really big skinny 2 qt ones problem solved lol

if a mule is someone who waits in line with/for you to get beer what is a person who runs to get a pour for you?

Why on earth would you limit the amount of water for people to bring into a 12 hour beer festival in potential 80 degree weather?

 

They don't specify water bottle size. I'll be bringing a couple liters of Smart Water.
